Teaching my toddler to spell his name has become one of my favorite little learning moments — and this name-train craft made it even sweeter. 🚂✨ Here’s why we’re starting now: • It’s the first word he truly cares about • Builds letter recognition naturally • Teaches left → right directionality • Boosts his confidence every single time • And yes… name knowledge is a strong predictor of early literacy success ❤️ We used all three D&J puzzles to build our train — shapes for the cars and letters for his name — and he was obsessed. We make this train together then play with it like a puzzle, matching the letters to it for practice. I’ll probably hang it in his room too! Early learning doesn’t have to be complicated. It can look exactly like this: playful, meaningful, and centered around something they love. 💛 #toddlerlearning #earlyliteracy #namerecognition
