I STILL CANT BELIEVE I MADE IT TO MY NEW YORK SHOW!!! THANK YOU EDM GOD!! 🤯 left Vegas at 9am, boarded my flight to NYC at 10am. as we neared Chicago, we had to circle for 40 minutes waiting for JFK clearance. eventually, we ran low on fuel and diverted to Detroit. after refueling, we were told to deplane due to all flights being grounded at JFK because of thunderstorms. waited in Detroit until 11:30pm, and we finally got the green light to fly. heading straight from the airport to @avantgardnerbk! Shoutout to the @delta Flight 333 pilots and crew for doing everything they could to get us there safely. AND THANKS TO EVERY EACH OF YOU IN VEGAS & NEW YORK FOR THE MEGA SUPPORT! I LOVE YOUUU❤️

At 53, as a nurse, a mom of four, and someone in the midst of menopause, I know how challenging it is to prioritize our health. I used to think that being active and eating healthy was enough— but as I neared my 52nd birthday, I noticed a decline in my muscle mass. It was a wake-up call, and I want to share what worked for me in the hopes that it might resonate with you, too: 1. I started working with a strength and macro training coach. Even with years of exercise under my belt, I realized that I needed a fresh perspective to adjust my routine for the changes my body was going through. 2. I made a promise to myself: 4 gym sessions a week—2 for the upper body and 2 for the lower body. I schedule these sessions just like I would any other important appointment because I learned that my wellbeing deserves that kind of commitment. 3. I shifted my mindset from the outdated idea that thinness is the epitome of beauty, to embracing the truth that being strong is beautiful and empowering. This change wasn’t just about how I looked—it was about how I felt inside. 4. I prioritized protein, aiming for about 140 grams a day. At first, it was a big adjustment, but it soon became a natural part of my day. 5. I also learned to welcome more carbs into my diet. With a history of PCOS, I was always cautious, but l discovered that carbs are fuel for my workouts-and that my muscles need them to grow. Even with nearly 300 grams daily, my fasting insulin dropped by 50%! 6. I had to get comfortable with watching the number on the scale rise and get a little “thicker” during the building phase. I’ve been on HRT (including testosterone), and I can tell you that no hormone therapy can replace the benefits of purposeful, progressive strength training. We all have busy lives, but investing in our strength is one of the best gifts we can give ourselves. Remember, it’s never too late to start-you deserve to feel strong, capable, and unstoppable! Why Awareness Matters: A Close Call at the Airport - Eileen Marx part 1. Last night, while heading down a long escalator at the airport, we saw a man ahead of us make a dangerous choice—he sat down. Then, as he neared the bottom, he laid down, directly in the path of everyone behind him. An escalator doesn’t stop. Neither can the people on it. One fall could have triggered a pile-up. Victor noticed before anyone else. He called out, “Get up!” but the man didn’t move. Realizing the risk, Victor acted. Holding our Belgian Malinois’ leash in one hand, he stepped down the escalator. The man was seconds away from possibly getting his fingers or clothing caught—or worse, causing a dangerous chain reaction. With one hand, Victor grabbed him by the scruff of his neck, lifted him off the ground, and tossed/dragged him clear of the escalator ramp, making sure others could step off safely. Our son had noticed his odd behavior before getting on the escalator, even had to lift a suitcase over the man to avoid tripping. The young man wasn’t a traveler—he stood out by his odd possibly drug behavior. For a moment after he sat up and stood up , he squared up, defiant looking our way. But then, seeing Victor standing firm, Malinois at his side, he turned and walked away. This is why awareness matters. There’s no time to hesitate in moments like this. You either act, or you watch disaster unfold. Victor teaches the Four A’s—Awareness, Assessment, Avoidance, and Action. He doesn’t just teach it—he lives it. This could have ended differently if he hadn’t stayed alert, assessed quickly, and taken action. This is why we train. This is why we stay ready. And this is why you should, too. The snow pressed low into the sky, and the three of us hurried back in the thin twilight, our baskets filled with groceries we'd bought in the city. As we neared the treehouse, we spotted a pack of wolves crouching in the snow, their greyish-white fur almost blending into the snow. They saw us too. No hunting tools, no weapons. We pounced on the ladder almost simultaneously—climbing, pulling back, all in one fluid motion. The wolves circled below for a long time before dispersing and disappearing into the increasingly dense snow. That night, a charcoal fire was lit in the treehouse. The pot bubbled and simmered, slices of meat, cabbage, and tofu bubbling in the broth. We sipped our drinks, none of us mentioning what had just happened.
