Building a business is all about relationships-- when people trust you that's when a transaction happens. we should never be transactional but relational minded first. Then we add value when we already know what the other party needs. That is why I really like business because you learn to problem solve and add value for people. And that's the heart of networking 😇😉 What do you think? What works for you? #networking #eventconference

Comment AUTHENTIC NETWORKING and I’ll send you a copy! I think networking gets a bad rap - people see it as this awkward process of hitting up strangers to try and finagle an intro or job referral or some other favor of transactional nature. But good networking, that actually adds value without feeling icky, comes from building real relationships. This takes away the weirdness of asking for favors, and opens up even more doors when people keep you top of mind for opportunities. The catch, however, is that this relationship-building needs to happen before you reach the point of “transaction”. If you are actively looking for a job and “need a network now”, lead with a curiosity to learn, rather than only seeking favors, and you’ll find that people are more willing to help. #networking #professionalnetworking #careergrowth #jobsearchstrategy #jobsearch

We are living in a time where everyone is visible, but very few people feel truly known. The person who knows how to create a space where people feel comfortable, seen, and energized becomes a magnet. For opportunities. For aligned relationships. For real influence. The future will not belong to the most connected person. It will belong to the person who knows how to connect others. So instead of asking “who do I need to know?” Start asking “what kind of room can I create?” #community #friendshipgoals #communitybuilding #hosting #relationships

3 Networking Secrets Billionaires Don’t Want You to Know 🤫

3 Networking Secrets Billionaires Don’t Want You to Know 🤫 Here’s how I connected with hundreds of billionaires, CEOs, HNIs, and top creators across New York, Tokyo, and Mumbai. ✅ 1️⃣ Force Yourself to Talk to New People • Don’t stick with friends. Make it a rule to meet 3 new people at every event. • Prep 2–3 go-to openers (eg. “What brings you here?”, “How do you know the host?”). • Use AI tools to generate even better openers before big events. ✅ 2️⃣ Find Common Ground Fast • Don’t lead with “What do you do?” ask “What’s your story?” • Listen for shared interests (places, hobbies, industry trends). • Keep 3–5 “pocket facts” ready: “Did you see Coinbase jumped 25% in a day?” “I’ve been experimenting with AI at work to automate slides.” • These make you interesting and relatable. ✅ 3️⃣ Don’t Say “Can I Get Your Number?” • Ask: “What’s the best way to stay in touch?” • People will give you their real preferred channel (IG, WhatsApp, Email, LinkedIn). • Bonus: Follow up with a personalized note referencing your chat. ✨ Pro Tip: Practice these with friends-of-friends at casual meetups first. Build the muscle before high-stakes events. Abundance signals status. Scarcity signals social climbing.

Abundance signals status. Scarcity signals social climbing. These 5 networking habits might feel strategic in the moment, but they quietly lower your status over time. 1. Leading with “So, what do you do?” “What’s your role?” “What company are you with?” It feels efficient, but signals that you’re sorting for value. Instead, open with context: “What brought you here tonight?” “How do you know the host?” “What’s been interesting so far?” 2. Only networking with people who are “useful” to you. Strategic to you. Transparent to everyone else. Parallel connections build reputation. They expand your understanding of the room. And lead to referrals you never predicted. Every conversation does not need to convert. 3. Glancing at a business card and pocketing it instantly. Even if you think you’re being polite by maintaining eye contact, speed reads as dismissal. A card represents someone’s work. Receive it intentionally. Pause. Read it. Acknowledge it. 4. Little white lies like “I’ll be right back” to exit a conversation. Polite on the surface. Avoidant underneath. Instead: “It was great meeting you. I’m going to circulate a bit. I hope we connect again.” Clarity signals status. 5. Scanning the room while someone is speaking to you. You cannot “optimize” relationships. You have to let them develop. The person in front of you should matter more than the person you haven’t met. Constantly looking up the ladder is a scarcity mentality. Social abundance builds the room. #networking #etiquette #highvaluewoman #oldmoney #habitus

I used to hate networking events 😒 Always the same thing, the small talk, the hello and hi and nothing thereafter. Well, honestly, everything changed when I started strategising my networking efforts🌪️ Here are some of my top questions to transform that networking event into something meaningful and get interviews💪🏽: 1. “What’s one overlooked mindset or habit that really moved the needle in your career?” People love being asked about the non-obvious secrets to their success. 📌This gives them a chance to go beyond clichés and drop wisdom they’ve earned through experience. 2. “Has there been a mentor or influence in your life that changed the game for you?” 📌This gets people to open up on a personal level. Their answer will tell you a lot about what they value, who shaped them, and the lessons they carry with them. 3. “What’s something exciting in your team or industry that hasn’t hit the headlines yet?” 📌Everyone likes being in the know. 4. “What do most people get wrong about your job or field?” 📌This gives them a chance to bust myths and share the realities of their role. It also gives you a clearer picture of how the industry works. 5. “I’m trying to get better at [Skill]. Between [Option A] and [Option B], what would you recommend?” 📌This shows humility, and respect for their expertise. It’s an easy question to answer and creates a natural follow-up point. 6. “If you were in my situation right now, how would you go about finding your next opportunity?” 📌Rather than awkwardly asking for help, this flips the script. It invites their insight without putting pressure on them—and if they’re keen to help or refer you, they’ll likely offer automatically. 7. “Is there anyone else you think I should speak with to learn more or get a different perspective?” 📌This is how you keep the networking momentum going. If they mention someone, ask if they’d be open to connecting you. 👉🏽End with gratitude—and follow up with updates. Relationships grow when you act on the advice you’re given. 👉🏽Looking for a job?
