LABOUR BOUNDARIES: What 5 things You’re Totally Allowed to Say NO during labour!🤰‼️ Your birth. Your rules. Your voice. Period. 🙌❤️ Let’s clear the air👇 ❌ NO to frequent Cervical checks Cervical exams NEVER tell you how long your labor will be. Your body will tell you loud and clear when to push. They can also increase the risk of infection and unnecessary interventions. You can ALWAYS refuse them until you feel the urge to push! 🙅♀️ NO to in bed all the time during labour! No to restricted movements! Walk around, move, do whatever felt comfortable to you in that moment. Movement = faster labour. Simple. 🛏️ NO to Lying Flat Gravity is your best friend. Use labor positions that let your body work smarter, not harder. 🚫 NO to Episiotomy Slow, controlled pushing when the urge hits helps protect your perineum. ⛔️ NO to Immediate Cord Clamping Wait till the cord is white, floppy, or done pulsating, so your baby has All of their placental blood— that’s optimal timing. Which one is on your NO list?👇 📌Mamas, remember: No one can force you. This is your birth — you choose what feels safe and right for YOU. 🫶💪 . . . At 1–2 cm dilation, don’t panic as yet! This is latent labour. 👉 ACOG ( American Guideline) says active labour starts only at 6 cm, so early dilation can take hours to even days if mom & baby are stable. 👉Prolonged latent stage of labour is at 16 hours or more!! But we can still wait if baby is okay and mom is okay! ❌It is not okay to wait if- 👶🏻Pregnancy at or beyond 40 weeks 👶🏻Rising blood pressure 👶🏻Baby’s heart beat dropping or NST is non-reassuring 👶🏻Meconium stained liquor 👉 WHO agrees—there’s no fixed time limit at 1–2 cm. We wait, watch, and support… not rush. ⚠️Disclaimer- This is not a substitute to a real in clinic doctor consultation. Only for educational purposes. The Magical Drink & My Natural Labour Prep Journey. This is what I personally followed to prepare my body for a smooth vaginal delivery . 🧘♀️ Exercise Routine: From the early weeks itself, I slowly started walking – just 5 mins in the beginning. Gradually increased to 10 mins, then 15… From 9th month, I added: ✔️ Duck walks ✔️ Squats ✔️ Climbing up & down the stairs ✔️ Pelvic tilts & breathing exercises ✔️ Staying active as much possible This helped open up the pelvis and keep my body active and ready for labour. 🥣 My Magical Drink: •From 8 month onwards, I had kanji water (rice porridge water) + a spoon of homemade butter 🧈 •Also had murungai keerai (drumstick leaves) soup regularly – good for strength and immunity. 📝 Note: This is what worked for me personally. Please check with your doctor before starting anything new. Every pregnancy is different . Wishing all mamas a safe, smooth, and positive birth experience 💫❤️ #trendingreels #momtobe #momtobeagain #pregnancy #preganentmom #motherhood #normaldelivery #normaldeliverytips #tips #vaginal #vaginalbirth #csectionrecovery #csection #birth #preganentmom #pregancyexercise
