And honestly I was surprised because I never got the chance to try it while traveling in South india. Being a North Indian I mostly grew up on parathas & poha so this kind of breakfast is totally new for me. Today in Thailand, I tried it for the first time and it felt like pure comfort in a bowl. In Thailand it’s called Jok Khai tom (Thai Egg congee). In India, many people know it as Ganji (rice porridge). It just reminded me how diverse food is, not only in Thailand but in India too. I’m definitely adding this kind of warm, light breakfast into my routine. Our cultures have so many amazing foods. We just need to learn, explore & pick the best from each place.
