Learnings ⬇️ I auditioned for Law & Order SVU in a hotel room while traveling, and I’m so grateful to have booked this “actor right of passage” in my first full year as a working actor! When I got on set, I heard that casting and producers liked my energy and look for the character. This experience taught me a few things. 1) some of casting is in our control, like the energy we bring to the character. 2) I followed the character description that Ana had black winged eyeliner 3) your background in auditions doesn’t matter as much as the acting 4) create the world with your eyelines, like how many people are you speaking to? 5) if you book, be prepared for anything on set. I thought I was sitting down, but I learned in rehearsal that I would be moving across the room and interacting with props 6) @nbclawandorder SVU is a well-oiled machine, and they move quickly!
