The power of COPYING (with permission)👇🏻⁣ ⁣ In art school, we were taught a common painting practice called “mastercopies”.⁣ ⁣ Essentially, it’s the practice of copying someone else’s painting (with credit given) as closely as possible, with an objective of learning 𝘩𝘰𝘸 they painted it in the process.⁣ ⁣ All too often we look at a finished piece of artwork, and because we don’t know “how” the artist created it, we assume it’s not something we’re capable of.⁣ ⁣ In reality, even the most complex of paintings can be broken down into tiny steps, that can then be practiced and learned by anyone with the desire to do so (AKA each of the designs in this reel, which MMM students have painted truly incredible versions of).⁣ ⁣ There’s a reason I’ve centred the Mandala Mastery Membership around full-length masterclasses of advanced mandala designs.⁣ ⁣ It’s because I know that through copying the exact steps I took to create a piece, you’ll realize that you’re capable of painting it, too.⁣ ⁣ I 𝘸𝘢𝘯𝘵 you to copy the pieces inside MMM because the former high school art teacher in me knows that that’s exactly how students learn and progress in their skills.⁣ ⁣ I want those inside to realize the mastery that’s awaiting them on the other side of releasing the doubt and overwhelm.⁣ ⁣ The second piece in this reel is from Masterclass #6 (a 40” design that’s currently the largest inside MMM), and I’ll be honest in saying that when I painted it, I was worried it might be too advanced.⁣ ⁣ However the truly incredible student work I’ve seen of this piece and so many others from the membership, has proven to me again and again that the key to learning anything, is in breaking the process down step by step by step.⁣ ⁣ If you’d like to learn to paint these pieces + the ten others in the membership, then click the link in my bio or head to loveanddots.com/mmm and jump into the membership before it closes at the end of the month.⁣ ⁣ Still not sure you can tackle a design this advanced? I challenge you to try out the membership for a month and prove to yourself what you’re actually capable of (it’s a lot more than you think).

Here’s what you’re doing wrong: You’re selling to other artists, not art COLLECTORS. While having fellow creatives in your following is beneficial, your primary objective should be growing your collector base and, ideally, generating sales. Your buyers are entrepreneurs, interior designers, doctors, accountants, professors—scrolling for connections that resonate with them. Craft content aligning with their interests. (Just as the algorithm does for you—PS, you can train it! 😵). Examples: * Use Collector-Focused Keywords: Incorporate terms like “art collector,” “fine art investment,” or “art acquisition” in your captions and on screen * Share Collector Testimonials: Feature satisfied collectors’ testimonials or images emphasizing the value they find in your art. * Collaborate with Designers or Brands: Partner with those sharing your audience; create events, giveaways, or joint IG Lives. Remember, think about your IDEAL COLLECTOR. How your art improves their life and makes them feel—NOT technical details. Break the loop! 🫶🏼 I’m teaching a new Masterclass on April 9th that will dive deeper into HOW to build your personal brand using my 3-step method. Comment CLASS to sign up. Don’t worry - a replay will be available.

Going for some possibly non-objective, not-cute art and then got the desire to draw my cat half way through…? But the point is no rules…right? 😬 Either way I had fun playing around with charcoal. The iconic "Land of Tea Escort Mission" arc showcases the exceptional teamwork and growth of a young ninja team. Led by Chunin Shikamaru Nara, Genin Naruto Uzumaki, Sakura Haruno, Choji Akimichi and Ino Yamanaka embarked on a high-risk S-Rank mission. Their objective was to safely escort Bridge Builder Idate Morino from the Hidden Leaf Village to the Land of Tea. Facing formidable foes, including Akatsuki members Kisame and Itachi, rogue ninja Aoi and treacherous terrain, the team demonstrated remarkable skill and resilience. Through strategic leadership, clever tactics and mutual support, they overcame challenges, ensuring mission success. This pivotal experience tested their resolve, solidifying their potential as future ninja leaders and forging unbreakable bonds. My objective is to create my own world and these images which we create mean nothing more than the images which they are. We have forgotten how to relate emotionally to art: we treat it like editors, searching in it for that which the artist has supposedly hidden. It is actually much simpler than that, otherwise art would have no meaning. You have to be a child -incidentally children understand my pictures very well, and I haven’t met a serious critic who could stand knee-high to those children. We think that art demands special knowledge; we demand some higher meaning from an author, but the work must act directly on our hearts or it has no meaning at all. - Andrei Tarkovsky

Quite often we tend to have discussions in art that are not related to our original lesson and it’s takes us places we all are interested in exploring further. Here’s a project in 4th grade where we explored a more non objective style of abstract art (the topic of discussion) with string, kitchen foil and permanent markers! Happy Friday! 💕 #artteachersofinstagram #artteachersofig #artteachers #artteachersrock #abstractart #nonobjectiveart #4thgradeart #artideasforkids #elementaryartteacher

Fuck Shui interior rearrangement of my facial recognition No Body. A face puppet of my soul, in flux. I have often believed ghosts live inside of walls and am fascinated with obsessive rearrangement of a room, with no objective. In my former collective The Fantastic Nobodies we mixed art and life 24/7, often with hilarious results. one thing (of many different things we would do) was to go to a random person’s house party and start rearranging their furniture and art on there walls, when confronted we’d say WE ARE WORKING RN, THIS IS OUR ART 😂😂😂…brand new piece btw, just made this work!!

SpinLaunch - NASA wants to create a system that launches rockets like a 'giant slingshot'. 🌎🚀🎯🌌 . NASA has signed a contract to test a rocket launch system that works in a kind of "giant slingshot" developed by the company SpinLaunch. The objective is to use kinetic energy to accelerate and allow the take-off of a space vehicle. ➡️🚀 . The SpinLaunch launch system resembles a type of giant washing machine. Basically, a launch capsule is attached to the equipment, which rotates at a very high speed (8,000 km per hour) to accumulate kinetic energy. Then, at some point, the capsule detaches from the system and is thrown into space. The process involves a vacuum chamber 91 meters in diameter. In the first test, in 2021, the suborbital accelerator spun the prototype capsule and launched it through an opening in less than a millisecond. . At the time, the procedure used only about 20% of the equipment's power capacity. A video on the SpinLaunch website shows the result of the first test. . 🌍Follow @spacethen for daily space posts ➖➖➖ @spacethen ➖➖➖ ➖➖➖ @spacethen ➖➖➖ . . . .Source: UOL Ciência Magazine . . . #space #nasa #art #universe #astronomy #science #moon #galaxy #stars #spacex #photography #cosmos #love #astrophotography #earth #scifi #astronaut #sky #nature #artist #design #alien #mars #digitalart #spaceship #nightsky #planets #drawing . .
