Kenzo Digital, the artist who designed each room, uses mirrors to reflect and refract the city that surrounds the building. In this room, the installation known as “Affinity” surrounds the viewer with silver Mylar balloons that seem to have a life of their own. This is the Xiangyun Observation Deck in Huixian, Henan Province — deep in the Taihang Mountains. It holds the Guinness World Record for the largest glass-bottom observation platform. You're standing 366 meters above the valley, looking down at a view that made the cover of China National Geographic. Best time to visit: September to November. The mountains turn red with autumn leaves. The air is clear. And the view from this glass platform is unforgettable. Huixian is about 1 hour from Xinxiang city center. You can take a high-speed train to Xinxiang East Station, then drive or take a bus to the scenic area.
