Sometimes, no matter how hard we fight, things don’t turn out the way we hope. We had such big plans for #PapaLou, but I’m afraid we won’t get to bring him home. We gave it everything we had to heal him, but his body couldn’t fight the pneumonia he likely contracted at SEAACA. Still, my heart is full of gratitude. I’m grateful that he was surrounded by an AMAZINGLY AWESOME team of people at @central_oc_er_vet who fought for him with all the love and strength they could give. I’m thankful he had a warm bed to rest in, and a belly full of delicious food. I’m so thankful for the precious moments I had with him, for the tail wags and kisses that made me fall in love. I’m beyond grateful to @salvalde @baloojasfoundation who didn’t hesitate for a second to help when I asked if we could help him. And to each of you who donated, sent messages, prayers, good vibes, and showed your love this week—thank you from the bottom of my heart. Safe travels, sweet Papa.
