Not everything that I Knit in 2025 was a success. The Olga jacket by petite knit was a personal failure of mine because I did not gauge properly and I made it way too short. I cannot unravel it because I knitted it in the round and then steeked it to be a cardigan. This was different from what was called for in the pattern. As in the pattern you knit flat. I finally have my dream Olga Jacket done, blocked, and buttoned in time for another finished object Friday 🧶 🫶 I knit a size small WAY off gauge, using peer gynt cacao nibs, beige heather natural and red, and the most darling crescent moon buttons from @haulinhooffarm 🌙 #olgajacket #knittersofinstagram #finishedobjectfriday #petiteknit

Step 1: First, insert your needle to knit the stitch, and keep the old yarn held nice and tight. Step 2: Grab your new colour, and before you knit, wrap it once over your index finger. Step 3: Now, while holding both threads, pull the new stitch through. Keep that new colour warped over your finger. Step 4: Knit a few more stitches before letting that wrapped stitch slip off your finger. Step 5: Now you can gentle pull the old thread tight, and keep knitting as normal! And that’s it!
