There is a reason why this place is still bustling when we visited at 2pm on a Saturday afternoon with a queue outside. 🤩 Located in a heritage-listed, original telephone exchange building on Wills street within minutes of the leafy Flagstaff Gardens, you’ll connect with our home’s history from the moment you walk in. The menu has enough variety to satisfy even the fussiest palates. Here is what we ordered. 𝘽𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙚 𝙋𝙤𝙧𝙠 𝘽𝙪𝙧𝙜𝙚𝙧 🍔 Balinese marinated pork belly (so tender and flavourful)fried egg, chilli mayo, fried shallots, coriander, cabbage and carrot slaw on brioche bun served with sweet potato fries. The fries are off the chart! 𝙎𝙤𝙛𝙩 𝙎𝙝𝙚𝙡𝙡 𝘾𝙧𝙖𝙗 𝙊𝙢𝙚𝙡𝙚𝙩𝙩𝙚 🦀 Egg omelette with fried soft shell crab, Balado chilli relish, multigrain toast and herb oil. Love that chilli relish and the Crab was marinated to perfection. 𝙎𝙖𝙡𝙢𝙤𝙣 𝘼𝙗𝙪𝙧𝙞 (𝘿𝙁) 🐟 Torched Atlantic salmon on sushi rice with furikake, pickled ginger, radish, soy poached egg, tare sauce and Japanese mayo. This is comfort food. 𝙐𝙗𝙚 𝙒𝙖𝙛𝙛𝙡𝙚 (𝙑) 🥞 Purple sweet potato waffle with jack fruits, coconut, ube chocolate sauce, black sesame ice cream, poached pears and fresh seasonal fruits 𝙆𝙪𝙢𝙦𝙪𝙖𝙩 𝙄𝙘𝙚𝙙 𝙏𝙚𝙖 🍋 English breakfast tea, kumquat juice, lime, honey 𝙄𝙘𝙚𝙙 𝙋𝙚𝙖𝙣𝙪𝙩𝙚𝙡𝙡𝙖 🥔 Peanut butter and Nutella chocolate milk. We ordered: 🦀SOFT SHELL CRAB OMELETTE ($26.0): Open omelette with fried soft shell crab, Balado chilli relish, multigrain toast and herb oil 🐟PAN FRIED BARRAMUNDI ($23): Served with pipis, sauteed Asian greens, yuzu beurre blanc and glutinous rice gnocchi 🐖PORK BENEDICT ($25): Grilled thick ham on potato rosti with poached eggs, hollandaise and apple salad 🍚 SALMON ABURI ($27): Torched Atlantic salmon on sushi rice with furikake, pickled ginger,radish, soy poached egg, tare sauce and Japanese mayo. the ambience was also top notch, giving a great vibe for a good sunday brunch in the city with friends and family! can’t wait to come back and try their sweet menu! ❤

📌 MELBOURNE 🍴Operator 25 🏷️ @operator25cafe Sneaky trip✈️ to Melbourne over the Easter long weekend🐣🐇. Our first meal on Good Friday was breakfast at a delightful Asian fusion cafe. We ordered the following dishes: - 🦀 Singapore chilli crab omelette - 🐟 Ponzu salmon - 🍵 Pandan matcha cloud - ☕ Flat white Both dishes were scrumptious✨💥. The soft shell crab was crispy & the sauce was flavoursome😍. The salmon was the standout - perfectly pan fried salmon placed on top of bonito mashed potato🥔 (incredible umami taste💯💯), grilled broccoli🥦 & yummy ponzu sauce. This was one of our favourite dishes of the trip👌🏻👌🏻. The pandan drink was so unique & delicious🤩 - made with iced coconut water🥥, sago, pandan🪴 & matcha🍵. It tasted like a light, refreshing Asian dessert🤤.
