For some reasons, customers can choose not to patronize you because you didn't give a discount. I believe, everyone knows what is best for their business and at the end of the day we are in it to make profit. If a vendor chooses not to give discounts, please respect it. There is always a reason and no, it is not about you but about keeping the business profitable. I used to be mad too when I dont get discounts until I owned a business and my eye saw mètàla!

As someone who isn’t really the most social person, take it from me “noise is part of doing business”. If you’ve ever been to a typical market in Nigeria, you’ll understand. Market women/men shout, call customers, and announce what they sell. That’s their noise. The market is never quiet. Social media is our own market now. And posting, showing up, talking about what you sell and creating content to gain visibility, that’s our noise. Coming out to create contents didn’t come naturally to me. But bringing myself out has helped my business in ways I can’t ignore. So yes, I’m learning what is obtainable to be a noise maker in 2026, even when it’s uncomfortable.
