You NEED to visit these iconic spots ⬇️ Don’t forget to save for later 🥰 Newcastle is the second oldest city in Australia and is known for its coastal beauty, industrial history and rich cultural heritage. It’s home to world-class beaches, scenic walks and some iconic historical landmarks. Best of all, Newy is located just 2 hours north of Sydney, making it an epic place for a day trip or weekend away. Here’s 4 iconic places you NEED to visit on your next trip to Newcastle ⬇️ 1️⃣ Nobbys Lighthouse & Breakwall Nobbys Lighthouse is a small active lighthouse that was built in 1854. Enjoy the 2.8km return walk from Nobbys Beach to the end of the breakwall (aka Macquarie Pier), taking in the views of the beach and the working harbour. You can also walk up to the top of Nobbys Head on weekends. 2️⃣ Newcastle Ocean Baths One of Newcastle’s most historic attractions! The baths opened in 1922 and are best known for their iconic architectural design and turquoise bleacher seating. They are open year-round & are perfect for lap swimming or a summer dip. 3️⃣ Newcastle Memorial Walk Opened in 2015 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the ANZAC landing in Gallipoli, the 450m long walk features steel silhouettes of soldiers and pays tribute to nearly 11,000 men & women from the Hunter. Start your walk at Strzelecki Lookout and take in the epic views over Bar Beach. It also links to the Bathers Way if you’re after a longer walk! 4️⃣ Fort Scratchley This historical coastal fort was built in 1882 to defend the city against a possible Russian attack. Today you can check out the panoramic views over Newcastle Harbour and Nobbys Beach, visit the historical museum or book a tour of the underground tunnels. You can also watch the gun firing at 1pm daily (except Tuesdays). Don’t forget to follow @_wherestheway for more NSW inspo 🌞🚐 #VisitNewcastle #VisitNSW

Not an ad, just a BIG shoutout to this hidden gem 💛 Last week we visited Wild N Out @willinghurstestate for the first time and WOW… we were seriously impressed! This beautifully designed soft play is an absolute dream. It’s the perfect size (big enough for adventures, small enough to not lose your tiny humans 🙌) and it was SO clean ✨ There’s literally something for everyone — climbing, bouncing, sliding, balancing, building, drawing, exploring and role play… it has it ALL. Little miss had the best time and did not want to leave (always the sign of a winner 😅). And parents — you’re covered too! There’s a lovely café area with play bits nearby, so you can actually sit down and enjoy a delicious coffee and cake while the little ones stay entertained ☕🍰 (a rare treat!). As if that wasn’t enough, there’s also the sweetest little toy shop inside, and the staff are genuinely so friendly and helpful 💛 If you’re in the Cranleigh area (or anywhere in Surrey), it’s 100% worth a visit. 📍 GU5 0SQ 📍 @willinghurstestate We’ll definitely be back! 💫 #MumLifeUK #SurreyMums #SoftPlayAdventures #MumFinds #DaysOutWithKids

Hiking guide ⬇️ Save this hidden gem for your next North Shore adventure 🌿 The Kauri Glen Walkway is one of the most peaceful urban bushwalks I’ve ever done. It’s honestly hard to believe this track is only minutes from the motorway. 📅 When to go: This track is gorgeous year-round, but especially stunning after light rain when the forest feels extra alive with the smell of petrichor. 🚶 How to get there: Park at either Tui Glen Rd or Lake Rd for easy access — both have clear signs pointing you into the reserve. The walkway loops are short and family-friendly, with boardwalks and bush tracks. 🌦️ What to expect: Expect mud in winter, shade in summer, and lots of photo-worthy spots. Keep an eye out for native birds and follow the instructions at the hygiene stations to help protect the kauri! I had no idea the world’s largest indoor rope course was in Connecticut! That’s a win for us New Englanders! This is It Adventure Rope Course in New Haven, CT. @itatjordans To be honest I was super intimated by this at first. Heights aren’t my favorite but I knew the fam would love this and they for sure did! I even warmed up to it after a little while. The zip lines were the best part in my opinion. This is something fun to do especially while outdoor activities are somewhat limited in New England this time of year. #connecticut #thingstodoinct #thingstodowithkids #newengland #thingstodoinnewengland #uniqueexperience #winteractivities
