Breakdown of my recent rim modeled in blender 💞 I did realize I should’ve added a solidify before connecting the outer ring but heeey I totally figured that out during editing🤪 How to model: 1. Choose reference image 2. Add circle with around 55 vertices (depends on your type of rim) 3. Only model one half of a fifth (if rim has 5 inner parts), delete the rest and check to add thickness 4. Mirror once half is DONE and hit apply 5. Make sure point of origin is in the middle of the circle you started out with 6. In edit mode select all, hit alt e, spin. It will look a lil crazy but once you hit use duplicates and set segments to 5 (because we modeled a fifth) it will look better 7. Sometimes the parts don’t match 100%, thats when you can choose all and hit merge by distance, if that doesn’t help, change merging distance or bridge gaps manually 8. Add outer part of rim and screws if needed 9. Uv unwrap, texture and build scene ✨ 10. Hit render Definitely realized my mistake there but still managed to get it done💞
