Overeating happens and is NORMAL. Don’t beat yourself up over it! And please, don’t skip meals or try to compensate for it. Instead, try these things right after so that you feel more physically comfortable. And most importantly, remember to eat again when you’re hungry 💛

If you overate over the Feetive season, this is your reminder… One day. One weekend. One week. Even two weeks of indulgence does not undo your progress. And it definitely doesn’t mean you need to punish yourself to “get back on track.” What actually keeps women stuck isn’t the food. It’s the guilt, the panic and the urge to overcorrect. So instead of restricting, overtraining and turning today into punishment by: ❌ Skipping meals to “undo” it → That usually backfires and leads to more overeating later. ❌ Killing yourself with exercise → Your body doesn’t need punishment, it needs regulation. ❌ Spiralling into guilt → One day (or week) doesn’t undo months of progress. I WOULD: ✅ Eat normally again → Balanced meals with protein, carbs and fats bring your body back into rhythm. ✅ Hydrate → Not to “flush toxins”, but to support digestion and energy. ✅ Gentle movement → A walk, some stretching, fresh air as this helps far more than HIIT right now. ✅ Drop the story → You didn’t fail. You’re just human. This is how fat loss works long-term. Not by swinging between extremes… but by returning to balance, again and again. If January always feels like a head spin for you and you want structure without restriction, you don’t need more willpower, you need a plan that works with every day life. 📩 Comment “PLAN” and I’ll drop you a DM so we can get talking. #itssosimple #newyearnewgoals #lifechanges #bingeeatingrecovery #midlifewomen

If you overate this past weekend and are unhappy with that, I got you 👇 (p.s. if you overate & have no problem with that - that is awesome!) Overeating is NOT a problem in & of itself… it’s only a problem when we blow it out of proportion. Here’s what to do today & this week: 1. Eat wholesome meals with proteins, fats, and high fiber & volume carbs. Do NOT starve yourself. You 100% deserve to eat ever day. 2. Along with number 1, eat substantial meals - don’t get side tracked by thinking you need to only eat low calorie foods in order to “counter balance” any overeating in the past. This amount of restriction only backfires! 3. Practice self-compassion. Only talk to yourself like you would talk to your best friend, or your daughter. Ask yourself, how can you handle a similar situation differently next time, and then MOVE ON! Like I said - overeating is not a big deal. It happens to everyone (including me!). It’s only a big deal with you mentally make it a big deal. LOVE YOU! You got this 😘 I’d love for you to join Best Body for more mindset shifts around overeating & moving forward with your healthy habits no matter what. ⚠️👇🏼 3 glaring signs I was dealing with insulin resistance Stubborn fat around the middle — hello spare tire 😩🛞 Not “I overate for a week”…. we’re talking midsection fat that does not respond to calorie cutting, workouts, or “clean eating.” Energy crashing and insane sugar cravings, hiding behind “healthy homemade treats”. Carb crash out cycles and that insatiable need for sweet treats, follow by such food shame that I “can’t get it together and eat right” Weirdest of all are the skin tags or darkening skin patches 🥴 I truly thought that eating carnivore would be a miserable way to live but then I reached my breaking point with my weight in December 2024 and I went for broke. I truly had nothing to lose, and turns out I had everything to gain 🥹❤️🩹 The last 12 months has been FINALY been the weight healing I was so desperate to find. I wrote a 67 page ebook with an accompanying video library with 12 hours of content with everything I *WISH* I knew 5 years ago. ✨COMMENT THE WORD glow FOR EVERYTHING FOLLOW FOR ENCOURAGEMENT THAT YOU CAN HEAL TOO 🫶🏼

Diet culture takes advantage of this time of the year where you are feeling Vulnerable around food and triggered w body image DONT FALL FOR IT, don’t listen to it! From all the holiday feasts, where you most likely overate past fullness at most meals Which triggered the screw it/ all or nothing mentality “I’ll start in January, no use now!” Making you feel like you are the problem (“I can’t eat normally clearly I need to follow a meal plan or have “discipline”) And diet culture taking advantage to sell you a solution (a diet) to the problem (you feeling out of control w food) they create. I’m just trying to help you understand that starting a new fad diet / or “restrictive way of life” in jan isn’t going to last and just make the prob bigger Dont be fooled or triggered if your social media is buzzing with these types of messages. KEEP SCROLLING Im not going to lie I fell for them every single year. “THIS YEAR WILL BE DIFFERENT, I won’t mess up this time” Newslfalsh YOURE NOT THE ONE FAILING. The approach is failing you!!! Notice how you’ve tried last year, the year before, and before…….. and yet here you are in the exact same spot. You can’t expect diff results if you keep falling in the same trap. At 485lbs I overate thousands of Taco Bell calories almost daily, and this is such an easy quick lower calorie swap for us! When I first started my journey i could barely cook, however I was determined to be in control of what I was eating + learn along the way. So i recreated my favorite unhealthy meals & tracked with myfitnesspal. This helped me not feel like i was missing out or deprived. Taco night tonight with @discoveringdanny for an easy high volume healthy meal that I've always enjoyed on my journey with all the veggies! I personally had mine as a taco salad tonight & Danny used our favorite wraps! Take the foods you love & make them healthy! Surprise 🤗 Your body doesn’t run on a calendar, or a clock, or any other crisp and clear timeline. 🍎Save this for when you need a reminder! If you had a tough workout yesterday, didn’t eat enough, skipped a meal, overate, laid around all day, started your period or any other possible thing you can think of doing or not doing… it will probably have an impact on how you need to fuel your body today. Yesterday will likely impact your hunger levels and yesterday will affect how much food your body needs. THIS is one of the reasons counting calories or even macros just doesn’t make sense to me (as a registered dietitian!). Yes, understanding macros can be incredibly important for learning how to meet health and fitness goals, but tracking and counting? Your body isn’t a calendar or a machine. Let’s start learning how to read and honor the signals your body is giving you in a balanced and healthful way!

Even if you overate this weekend, it's okay! (Btw, forgive my typo in the reel! I make mistakes like any human!☺️) It's what you do *most* of the time that has the biggest impact. There are always going to be times you enjoy less healthful foods--that's part of enjoying a full life! Resuming with your healthy behaviors isn't about starting over--it's about moving on without any guilt! 💛 * * * * * #healthgoals #nutritiontips #healthyweight #healthyplate #balancedplate #mindfuleatingtips #rdapproved #eatbalanced #eatingmindfully #eatforyourhealth #eatforyourgoals #eatyourcolors #allfoodsfit #pelotonweightloss #moderationnotdeprivation #moderationiskey #betterfoodchoices #consistencyiskey🔑 #wellnesswithoutobsession #healthierchoices #weighlosstipsforwomen #pelotonmotivation #pelotoncommunity #dietitiantips #emotionaleating #dietsdontwork #antidiet #bodyneutral #eatingwithoutguilt #bodyneutrality
