Make your own pillow cover🫶🏻 I am no pro, just self taught and love to share! This is an easy, small diy project PERFECT for beginners to sewing. Once you get the hang of it, you can easily make one in 20 minutes🧵 The measurements in this video are for a 18 inch pillow insert. If you have a pillow at home you’d like to make a cover for, simply measure it and then add 1 inch. Example: if you have a 16 inch pillow insert, you’ll want to cut out 17 inch squares. This is simply the way I have learned to do it😊 If you want, you can choose 2 different fabrics (1 square in one fabric, the remaining 2 squares in a different fabric— this will allow the front and back of the cover to be different)

1. Place the two fabric squares right sides together. Pin or clip around the edges. 2. Using a ½ inch seam allowance, sew all the way around the edge, leaving a 3–4 inch gap on one side for turning and stuffing. 3. Trim the corners slightly (being careful not to cut the stitching) to reduce bulk. 4. Turn the cushion right side out through the gap. Push out the corners gently. 5. Fill the cushion with stuffing until it is firm and evenly shaped. 6. Fold the raw edges of the opening inward and close the gap by hand stitching or carefully sewing it closed on the machine. 7.
