3 tips for choosing the BEST skis for the park🎿👇 Been wanting to talk about this for a while because people always DM me about it. These are the things I PERSONALLY go by based on my experience, style, and riding level: 1️⃣ THE FLEX I’ve found that skis with a softer flex are better for butters, presses, and can be nice for getting jiggy on rails. Stiffer skis give me a lot more stability which is super nice for jumps (especially with me being a bigger dude). I probably lean more towards stiff than too soft, but a little play is a MUST for me as well. 2️⃣ SKI SHAPE AND PROFILE Some good camber feels good for pop and is nice for holding an edge for carving on jumps and what not. More rocker can be fun in the park at times and honestly it can be real fun on rails but I probably wouldn’t go with a full rocker in the park. The ski I’m riding has rocker at the tip and tail, low center camber and two sections of micro-camber embedded in front of and behind the binding. It is a DREAM in the park🤤 3️⃣ DIMENSIONS AND DURABILITY For width: I’ve ridden everything from 88mm to 108mm in the park. For me, right around the middle hits the mf spot. 98mm-101mm feels most stable yet maneuverable to me. For length: I have always liked my skis about eye level. 188mm is my favorite length for sureee as I’m 6’2”. People always ask me if a longer ski will make it harder to ski park and spin. I always tell them that it will be better in the long run. Durability is a tough one to measure before trying them but ask someone who rips and take their word for it🤷‍♂️ I rock the Frankenski from @momentskis and I have NEVER had a more durable, playful yet sturdy, and just damn fun park ski.
