Might have found my favourite Singapore outdoor playground. This place is like the playground of playgrounds. And the culture of having fun via risky play is so alive here. Kudos to super fit Uncle for running on the spinning disc on demand to swing all the kids. So much laughter all round. No prizes for which was the favorite playground feature that day! Uncle: if by some miracle this video circulates and makes it to you, know you're our hero 🙌 // Why is risky play good for kids? it builds essential life skills such as self-confidence, emotional regulation, problem-solving, and resilience. By confronting fear and uncertainty in a challenging yet manageable way, children learn to assess risks, manage their emotions, and develop a sense of competence and independence. We finally explored Pasir Ris Park Playground, and WOW there are a lot of different play areas to explore. Here you can find: 🔷️ Flying fox 🔷️ Multiple slides 🔷️ Climbing areas 🔷️ Swings 🔷️ Pirate ship play area 🔷️ Nature play 🔷️ Toddler maze and more! There are a number of things that are great about this playground: 🔶️ It is close to a few eateries, there are toilets & it is in a nice seaside location. 🔶️ There are lots of trees providing some good shade & sometimes a nice breeze from the sea 🔶️ There is a bike path through the park and a nearby bike hire shop. 🔶️ There are so many play areas, which means the kids won't get bored & different areas cater for different aged kids. Take note though, the play areas are quite spread out, so it is hard to keep an eye on multiple kids in different play areas. 🔶️ There is so much more to explore in this park besides the playground that we will need to make a few trips back. Little miss 4 year old was so excited, and I think we got to check out most of the play areas. As for her favourite thing - she liked climbing the big web, going down the slides and the spinning disc. The sea dragon playground stretches out for more than 10m and contains a variety of play elements for kids! At the sea dragon’s head, kids who stoop down will discover a secret – its mouth hides a tunnel for the littlest ones! Harvey loved it so much! And OMG, there’s 4 swings?!
