Harlem’s pizza landmark 🍕 Patsy’s has been holding down its corner of East Harlem since the 1930s, serving up coal-fired slices long before “New York style” was even a thing. This original location is one of the last spots in the city still making pizza the old-school way — thin, crisp, and straight from the coal oven. Its history is really interesting… Pasquale Lancieri took over this restaurant from his brother-in-law Lorenzo Megale in 1940, but he was likely in the baking business back to the early 1930s.
