Want to create a mini printable coloring book layout in Canva? Here’s the exact grid system that makes it print-ready and easy to cut ✂️📖 1️⃣ Click File → Settings → Add Guides 2️⃣ Choose Custom Set your layout to: • Columns: 3 • Rows: 3 Then click Add Guides This creates a perfect 9-section grid so your pages print evenly on A4. 3️⃣ Go to Elements → Add a Square 4️⃣ Remove the fill (make it transparent) Add a Stroke Set stroke weight to 1 5️⃣ Click Position Set the exact dimensions to: • Width: 6.63 cm • Height: 9.49 cm Why this size? Because 6.63 × 3 ≈ 19.89 cm and 9.49 × 3 ≈ 28.47 cm — which fits neatly inside an A4 page (21 × 29.7 cm) while leaving margin space for cutting. This prevents your designs from being chopped off when printed. 6️⃣ Fit the square into one guide section Duplicate until all 9 sections are aligned perfectly. 7️⃣ Now search “Plus sign” in Elements Place small + marks between the guide intersections These are called cut registration marks. When printed, they help you align your ruler and cut accurately so every mini page is centered and even. 8️⃣ Add your illustrations (I’m using animals 🐾) 9️⃣ Click each element → Edit Image → Style → Select Line Art Repeat for all graphics to convert them into clean black-and-white coloring pages. And just like that… You’ve created a printable mini coloring book layout inside Canva.
