Don’t put your health at risk! . It seems harmless at first just a few more minutes, a quick email, one last task. But holding in your pee too often can lead to more problems than you’d think. Over time, it can weaken your bladder muscles, making it harder to fully empty, and may even cause urinary retention where urine gets trapped in the bladder. This can lead to painful urinary tract infections (UTIs), which, if untreated, can spread to the kidneys and cause kidney infections. Constantly holding it in can also raise the risk of bladder overdistention, a condition where the bladder stretches and has trouble contracting properly, leading to long-term bladder issues. And because you might start drinking less water to avoid frequent bathroom trips, dehydration can add to these risks, making infections and kidney stones more likely. . So, while it’s easy to put off going to the bathroom, those quick breaks really do more for your health than you might realize! . #SironaBreakingTaboos #sironaoriginal #Sironagetsreel

Teaching my boys how to pee correctly, because is not me they will be stressing to clean toilets everytime. #teachthemyoung #educate #CatchThemYoung

Ever been in that moment where you know your little one has to use the 🚽 toilet for peeing or pooping, but they insist they don’t want to? 🙃 Instead of pushing, try giving them a choice to feel more in control: 🗣️ We need to go pee/susu/poop/potty. Would you like to go now or in two minutes? Why it works: 👉 Kids love having a say – giving them a choice avoids resistance. 👉They almost always choose ‘2 minutes,’ which gives them a little control while keeping the process smooth. 👉After 2 minutes, they’re ready without a fight My friends always laugh when they hear me say this, but it’s a game-changer! It actually works EVERY SINGLE TIME 😝☺️ Remember, offering choices (not ultimatums) is such a powerful tool in parenting. Try it and see how it works for you! 🚽 Hope this helps :) [Gentle Parenting, Potty Training Tips, per training, toilet training, Mom Hacks, Parenting Made Easy , Toddler Life, Parenting Tips]

Were you told to “pee before we leave the house”? 🙋♀️ So many of us grew up that way and now, years later, struggle with urgency, leaks, or feeling like we have a “small bladder.” I grew up that way, too. The ONLY time we have our kids “try to go” is before a road trip 🚙 aka when you don’t want to stop 20 minutes after you just left. It took me years to break the habit. Peeing “just in case” had trained my bladder to be overly sensitive signaling urgency at the tiniest amount of urine AND decreased my bladder’s capacity to stretch and tolerate holding more volume without needing to run to the bathroom. My “limited bladder control” wasn’t because it was weak… it was because I’d taught it to go too soon. The more you pee just in case, the more your bladder learns to respond to those lower levels and the cycle keeps repeating. The good news? 🚽 Bladder patterns can change at any age. You can retrain your bladder to respond to real fullness and trust your body cues again without fear of leaks or urgency. This is exactly what I teach inside my membership (and practice with my own kids) as a pelvic floor PT. It’s not about ignoring the urge it’s about helping your bladder learn when to send the right signal. 💬 Did you grow up with the “just in case” rule? Have you noticed it affecting you as an adult? Or do you do this with your kids? Share in the comments👇🏻👇🏻

🚪🔑Ever feel desperate to pee the moment you get home? That’s latchkey incontinence: a form of urge incontinence caused by a brain-bladder trigger 🧠 Good news: You can retrain your bladder with simple tweaks like ✅ Break the habit. Don’t rush to the toilet as soon as you walk in. Distract yourself for a few minutes (unpack, put on the kettle, scroll Jude 😉). ✅ Bladder training. Gradually increase the time between pees to teach your bladder to hold more. ✅ Pelvic floor exercises. Daily Kegels help strengthen the muscles that keep leaks at bay. 💜 Start small. Stay consistent. Your bladder can relearn better habits. #bladderleakage #bladderhealth #bladderproblems #womenshealthmatters #menopausesupport #pelvicfloorhealth

🚰 That “I Gotta Go” Feeling When You Turn on the Faucet? Here’s What to Do! 🚽💦 Ever feel that sudden, urgent need to pee the second you hear running water? You’re not alone, but your bladder doesn’t have to be the boss of you! Try this quick reset next time it happens: 1️⃣ Pause the activity 2️⃣ Take a few deep breaths to calm your nervous system and release tension. 3️⃣ Do 2-3 pelvic floor contractions (think “stop the flow”) 4️⃣ Try 10 heel raises to shift focus and engage your muscles. 5️⃣ Now, return to what you were doing—without running to the toilet! 💡 Healthy bladder habits: ✔ Empty your bladder every 3-4 hours during the daytime (not “just in case” 🚫). ✔ Hydrate and Avoid bladder irritants like caffeine & artificial sweeteners. ✔ And most importantly—see a pelvic floor PT to treat the root cause! Your bladder is trainable—you don’t have to live at its mercy. 💪🚽 Let’s take back control! #BladderTraining #PelvicFloorHealth #PFPT #UrgeControl #urinaryincontinence

Hack to control Your Pee when Washroom is not Around 💁♀️ Why scratching/squeezing might seem to “delay” pee There is a concept called “gate control theory” of nerves. When you give your body a different sensation — like scratching, squeezing, pinching, or tapping — it: • Distracts your brain • Temporarily interrupts the sensation of fullness • Reduces the urge feeling, not the actual bladder pressure But follow this Hack only in Emergency Situations ‼️ . . . #makinglifeeasy #easytofollow #simpleandeasy #secrethacks

Need to wee but no toilet in sight?!! Try these tricks to help prolong the urge to void! Did you know urinary incontinence affects 1 in 3 women, 1 in 10 men, and 1 in 5 children in Australia? A specific type, urinary urgency, involves a sudden urge to urinate that can sometimes lead to involuntary leakage. The good news? ✨ With the right strategies, these urges can be managed, giving you time to reach the bathroom comfortably. While common, incontinence is not something you have to live with. Tag a friend who always leaves it too late to pee! . Your ability to control your bladder weakens for a few reasons. Over time, the muscles that support your bladder can lose strength, especially if they’ve been stretched during pregnancy or weakened with age. This can cause more frequent trips to the bathroom or an intense urgency to go. Conditions like UTIs, diabetes, and even stress can also impact your bladder control. So, if you feel like you need to pee more often or can’t hold it in as long as you used to, it might be time to strengthen those pelvic floor muscles or check in with a healthcare provider.
