You won’t believe how this started… We came in for pancakes @christopherswc2 and somehow ended up enjoying Christopher’s Lunch & Theatre set menu too. For one night the stage wasn’t set for a show… but for a #SecretSupper - After the Applause! 👏🏻 Twenty four guests took centre stage for a supper that was a delicious evening of discovery. 🎭 Welcomed with a glass of Cavicchioli Pignoletto, we were seated in groups of six at tables overlooking Union Terrace Gardens. 🌼 The opening act: Wild Mushroom Velouté, paired with Soupir Rosé, Château Oumsiyat from the Bekaa Valley. Delicious. 😋 Next up were Scallops with Black Pudding, Prosciutto & Garlic Cream Sauce which definitely hit all the right notes, paired with Vermentino, Timo San Marzano from Puglia. 🍷 Then came the plot twist our next course - a salmon crostini - was served on the stage itself, making us diners part of the performance. A very special surprise course and a pinch me moment for everyone. ❤️ The chatter that accompanied our main act Duck Breast, Parsnip, Red Cabbage, Duck Bon-Bon & Jus, alongside Pinot Noir, Les Colombiers from Languedo was all about how unique and wonderful the evening was. ⭐️ Final curtain saw us enjoy a Vanilla Crème Brûlée, Lemon Tuile & Raspberries, with Valdivieso Botrytised Sauvignon Blanc from Curicó Valley the sweetest encore. 🍓 A standing ovation has to go to musician Ellen @ellenmariebain who played a beautiful acoustic set throughout the evening, the kitchen brigade and front of house team, led by Matt on the night, who were the extra special ingredient that truly made the night steal the show. ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ @aberdeenperformingarts @abdninspired
