What began with Momofuku’s bold culinary legacy has evolved into a vibrant new destination in Westfield Century City, LA, and the design reflects this evolution perfectly. Super Peach reimagines everyday dining with an energetic space, open kitchen, lively bar, and a menu full of reinterpreted American classics. The identity mirrors this spirit by leaning into the idea of contrast—where familiar meets unexpected, polished meets playful, and sweet meets spicy. The team, collaborating with illustrator @polillustrations, crafted a series of expressive hand-drawn wordmarks used interchangeably across the system, injecting movement and character throughout the brand. These gestures, paired with lively illustrations, capture the restaurant’s dynamic personality. To ground the identity, ABC Repro from @abcdinamo serves as the primary typeface—clean, functional, and understated—allowing the expressive elements to shine without overwhelming the system. It’s a thoughtful, flexible, and energetic identity that truly embodies the restaurant’s DNA and delivers a visual experience as flavorful as the food itself. The Pentagram: How Consciousness Becomes Matter 👁️ In magick, the pentagram is not merely a symbol—it is a map of creation itself. Each of its five points represents a distinct body of consciousness: earth (physical form), water (emotion), air (mind), fire (will), and spirit (pure awareness). SACRED SYMBOLS PART 3: THE PENTAGRAM this symbol is controversial due to its affiliation with satanism, but it’s a little deeper than that. This symbol can be referred to as the pentacle (the star in the circle) or the pentagram (the star without the circle) but I like to just refer to it as the pentagram. This symbol represents all earthly elements along with the spiritual element. fire, water, earth, air, and spirit. This symbol also represents the human body, and is a powerful protective symbol. When you and your physical body is embedded within a metaphysical nature, the element of spirit within the pentagram is put at the top, symbolizing putting spirit above matter When you and your physical body are embedded within the physical world and the physical world only, the pentagram inverts, and puts spirit below matter. This symbol can be utilized within many magick practices due to its elemental nature. Mystics use the pentagram to evoke a certain element that they’re working with. This symbol is also known to summon spiritual beings. MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCE: I used to receive visions of the inverted pentagram when I was ignoring my spiritual self. But when I started taking my spirituality seriously, I would receive visions of the pentagram in its upward position. I had a pentagram pendant that I was really attracted too and I wore it for about a year, I utilized it for protection and it brought me into a flow state of harmony within the physical and spiritual world. Recently I went camping on my birthday and unfortunately lost it on the beach. It’s important to do your own research on these symbols that are deemed “controversial” and come to your own conclusions. No symbol is inherently evil, but how you perceive and utilize these symbols is what can make it “good or evil”
