Como preparar las botellas para fabricar tu filamento reciclado PETMACHINE Para poder convertir las botellas de plástico en filamento reciclado. Primero hay que seguir una serie de pasos antes de introducir la botella en nuestra máquina para hacer filamento. Es importante seguir los pasos que se muestran en el video, ya que cuanto más limpia y lisa este la botella antes de cortarla, más homogéneo será el filamento que obtendremos con la máquina. En los próximos videos enseñaré cómo quedan las piezas impresas con este filamento y los ajustes necesarios para poder imprimir con este filamento reciclado. También estoy experimentando con diferentes formas de unir varias tiras para crear un filamento continuo con varias botellas y poder crear bobinas completas. 3D Printing isn’t the greenest hobby out there as we use plastic as our consumable. One can lower their impact by buying filament that’s recycled. But what if you could up-cycle used bottles into filament. Here comes the pet machine from @tylmandesign you may have seen this machine if you’re no stranger to 3d printing as it’s been around for years. It’s always been something I was curious about. Watching the design improve over the years reading up on the process, the build, practicality, quality. Even Looking for old 3d printers to maybe upcycle into a pet machine. @tylmandesign reached out and asked if I wanted to test and review his design. This was an opportunity I couldn’t pass up, as I needed to know. Well the verdict is in. And the pet machine is a winner. It delivers in creating filament from bottles and the quality of the print from it is perfect. You do need to follow the directions and set the correct profile but a quality print is achievable as I did all of this on my first try. While I don’t think it’s possible for me to fully commit to printing like this all the time. But I sure want to try as the process of making the filament can be enjoyable. The first test of the new cutting module. For now the module is thin and miserable to save material for prototyping, but most important it works! I had to load it with my powerbank, because it was jumping haha Cutter has 6 levels of cutting 12, 10, 9, 8, 7 and 6mm. Now I was using 10mm and checking dimension from time to time and it was pretty accurate.
