In one of the interviews Peter was asked how he would like to die, to which he answered “I don’t know. It wouldn’t really matter so long as I felt I made a difference in the world.” And he did. He was able to express raw and unfiltered emotions and inner struggles through his music. So many people can relate to his words on a personal level and this makes us establish a deep connection with him. Amidst difficult and dark moments he brings comfort, validation and understanding. Misery loves company, as he would often say and we are not alone. We can laugh and we can cry. His charisma, sense of humor, kindness, generosity, creativity, resilience, authenticity, compassion, dedication - these are the traits I usually like to focus on when it comes to describing Peter. Of course he had his demons and he faced them. He acknowledged them. And at the end, he managed to fight them. But he had to go. To a better place, I hope. To a place with no more pain, complete freedom, relief and tranquility. He has left such an impact which makes him equivalent to powerful energy which is roaming around us. I strongly believe his spirit is amongst us. Let’s honor Peter’s memory as his music continues to inspire and resonate with people all around the world. Rest in peace, Peter. Your voice lives on forever.
