it’s not a matter of “if” spiritual warfare comes, but when. being a wife that knows how to cover your husband in prayer is crucial in this hour. I used to be intimidated by it, not knowing what to pray, or afraid to say the wrong words… but that is a lie from the enemy himself to keep you silenced. praying over your husband can look like: asking the Lord to remove any heavy burdens off his shoulders. praying and declaring health over every aspect of your husbands body. praying for the Lord to keep your husband’s heart soft in a cruel world, to give him a heart of flesh and not stone. praying supernatural protection over his vehicle that he drives, for peace and supernatural rest over his side of the bed. praying for his mouth, that it would be used to advance the Kingdom and edify those he comes across. praying for the Lord to guide him in his day-to-day work… to equip him to be the leader of the family that he is called to be. praying for him to overcome temptation, doubt, and carry unity into every room he walks in. more than anything, pray that the Lord sets his heart ablaze and breaks his heart what for breaks His. this world is cold, dark… and growing darker by the hour. but what an honor it is to be a wife, to have breath in our lungs, and the privilege of standing in the gap for the man God entrusted to you. as wives, we don’t need fancy words or lengthy prayers. heaven responds to obedience. step into your God-given authority, pick up your mantle, open your mouth, and cover your husband daily. your prayers matter more than you realize. you are not just a wife… you are a watchman on the wall. a gatekeeper of your home. and when you pray, all of hell trembles. #couple #christian

God, thank you for my marriage! Having a partner that will pray for you, challenge you, and remind you to go to the Lord is such a blessing. Jeremy is the priest of my home, and he rises to the occasion at ALL times! He’s constantly praying over me and teaching me something new haa, I ask a lot of questions! Honestly though, our story isn’t as “perfect” as you would think! We weren’t saved when we met in high school 7 years ago. 2020 changed absolutely everything and I’m thankful that God kept us together while growing our relationship with Him separately. I’ve been able to lean on Jeremy in times of spiritual warfare, fear, and failures while having the huge pleasure of being by his side in the most vulnerable times! Ladies, keep praying for your husband or husband to be! Prayer changes things. A simple prayer is, Father, help him to have a deeper relationship with you. Help him to honor the convictions of your Holy Spirit, and help him see me as you see me. God answered my prayers. He gave me a partner that truly knows Him 🫶🏽

It is only through prayer and God’s goodness, grace and power that my husband is the man that he is today. And by no means is he perfect. He’s still learning and growing as God is still moulding him and working in and through him, but it’s the little wins that I’m so grateful to God for and it’s a journey that I choose to praise God throughout because once upon a time my current reality seemed impossible… My husband has been through some dark places and was lost… I never knew whether I’d ever truly see the day that my husband would willingly and excitedly read the Bible, be so passionate about sharing God’s word and pray over me, let alone our family, but God is SO good! 😭🙌🏽 Through faith, prayer and obedience to God, God is cleansing and transforming my husband’s heart, and made a way for so many of the things that I prayed years for, to come into fruition. Prayer is powerful! Wives/girlfriends, pray for your husband/boyfriend. And if you’re a woman not in a relationship yet, pray for your future husband. Here’s a prayer you can pray for him if he’s yet to know God as His Lord and Saviour: “Heavenly Father, thank You for the life of my husband — the man You created with purpose, intention, and love. I place him into Your hands and surrender his heart, his path, and his future to Your perfect will. Reveal Yourself to him in a real and undeniable way. Open his eyes to see You, soften his heart to receive You as his Lord and Saviour, and draw him closer to You each day. Cleanse and transform his heart. Renew his mind and shape him into the man You created him to be. Equip him to walk confidently in his calling and to lead me/our family in Your truth, love, and ways. Teach him to seek You first in every decision and to stand firm in the identity You have given him. I trust Your timing, Lord. Let Your will be done.
