These Pides pronounced (pidays) were absolutely delicious. Brushed them with garlic herb butter and it just elevated it. And that cheese pull on the stuffed crust is just chefs kiss 😘 Freezes very well. Let me know if yo u try it.. RECIPE: @coffee_cups_and_crayons Pides For the dough : 5 cups flour 1/2 cup oil 1 tbsp sugar 1 tbsp yeast 1 tsp salt 1 tsp baking powder 1cup warm milk 1 cup warm water Mix dry ingredients together and wet seperately. Combine to form a soft dough. Allow to rise. Grated mozzarella, cheddar and crumble some feta. Once risen, divide dough into 8. Roll each piece into an oval shape. Place cheese mixture around the edges and twist and fold to make a boat shape. Add your sauce and filling of choice . I used chutney and steak. Top with more cheese, red onion , spring onions and jalapenos. Brush with the garlic butter or eggwash and bake in a preheated oven at 180 for 10-12minutes- or until edges get golden. Steak Filling recipe: Marinade 1kg cubed steak with 1 TBSP peri peri masala 1 TBSP garlic 2tsp green chillies 1 tsp each of Kashmiri chilli powder Crushed red chilli flakes Jeero Pepper Salt Ina Paarmans Braai and grill spice Onion powder.
