I’ve had 9 piercings over the years, and if you’ve ever had one, you KNOW how annoying piercing bumps can be 😭 These are usually hypertrophic bumps — not keloids — and they often happen due to irritation, friction, pressure, or improper aftercare. What worked for me personally 👇 I used saline water (salt + clean water) and gently applied it on the piercing bump once or twice daily for 2–3 weeks. Along with this, every night, I would dip a clean cotton sponge in the saline water and keep it on the piercing overnight until morning. Doing this consistently helped keep the area clean, reduce irritation, and support the healing process. Saline helps by keeping the area clean, reducing irritation, drawing out any trapped pus, and supporting natural healing. Fan with your hand or put your hairdryer on the coolest setting to dry it off after cleaning. ✨ Avoid sleeping on your piercings as the pressure can aggravate them.
