LET IT BREATHE mini segment DJ Booth Cam 🎥 | Mixes from Power of Love 2026 Sound is a little off given the monitor was below me… For this event the demo leans older but it’s diverse from 30 to 70 years old, very affluent people but they like to party! It’s events like this that I love to mix classic hits with album cuts. Given @thekennyloggins was being honored for his career I kept the vibe soulful & funky mixing in legends, emerging artists, & future icons keeping it fresh and ME by playing originals AND flips & remixes no one’s heard before. A perfect example here with this great @djsteve1der edit of “Shining Star” @earthwindandfire that I have which is a classic mixed with one of my favorite Jilly from Philly ( @missjillscott ) album cuts “Gimmie” a song you rarely if ever hear at an event like this. Fusing artists of different eras with the common denominator being FUNKAY ASS high vibrational freakquencies!! And given the nature of this event I wasn’t quick mixing anything in this portion of the event so I got to let’s these amazing songs BREATHE!! #djset #learn #songs

I remember when I was 8 years old sitting outside on my tape recorder trying to catch every song before and after commercials to get a perfect cassette tape mix. In high school I was the go to for cd playlists for friends, browsing MySpace for new artists and always searching for international beats that spoke to my soul. I was always the music selector on car rides, at parties, and celebrations. Music and movement have always been home for me.
