4 ways to style a pixie cut! 🧚🏼‍♀️✨ One of the reasons I got a pixie is because I hate spending time styling my hair. All of these styles take under 3 minutes (seriously) and help me switch my pixie cut up on days where I’m feeling like it! ✨ Look 1 / smooth and sleek: part my hair to the opposite of its natural side and smooth down with a brush. Hairspray & add accessories if you’d like! (Spray @livingproofinc, star @kristin_ess) Look 2 | messy texture: my go-to! I take a pea size amount of matte pomade (I like @theouai’s) and run it through the ends and scrunch Look 3 | mini bow: an easy way to add fun to either the sleek or messy styles. This works great with a silk scarf too! Look 4 | butterfly clips: I do this style a lot when my hair is overgrown to keep it out of my face! Part hair into two or three sessions and clip back with butterfly clips (these are @goodyhair). I like to keep my face framing pieces out! Your new pixie cut isn’t “hard to maintain” … you’re probably just missing 1 of the 2 ESSENTIAL things most short pixies need to feel top tier. 1) A bomb cut! Most clients tend to look at the end result, meaning you look for the finished look, style or color. But most seasoned short hair stylist know that the cut is 50% percent of the battle. A great cut should NOT require you to come to the salon every week or two weeks. (Unless you want to 😉) A great cut is easy to mould, and can be wore without any styling. 2) Proper relaxer techniques. I’m not gonna lie, I hate when clients relax their hair at home. 🫠🫣 I totally get being budget friendly, HOWEVER over processed in some areas and under-processed key detail areas takes away from the overall vibe of your pixie.
