Everyday I share a free play idea that you can set-up in 5 minutes or less. These ideas are meant to spark creativity, encourage independent play + strengthen a TON of skills (motor skills, language skills, self-regulation and more!) Follow for more ideas like this! We used a glue stick to glue the bubble wrap and painter’s tape to attach the handle. We used yellow dot stickers to make the bees! Add some paint and paper, and you’re all set. This experiment simulates precipitation in a really fun and visually interesting way 🌧️ The shaving cream acts as the cloud resting in the atmosphere (the water) and as more and more drops of water are added (which is what happens in real life through condensation) the cloud holds the drops until they’re too heavy to hold and gravity forces them out as rain. 💧 It’s such a classic childhood experiment and it was so fun to do with my kids as part of our homeschool weather study (we’re using the branches curriculum by @busytoddler for science/social studies and it’s been very fun so far!) Symmetrical Butterflies Today we used a blot painting technique to make beautiful symmetrical butterflies. To make these, have your kiddo paint one side of the butterfly cut out, press together, and open to reveal symmetrical butterfly wings.
