Everyone loves the idea of owning a play café… but here’s what it actually takes to run one. 👀 We get asked all the time if it’s profitable — and truthfully, it can be. But when you’re constantly fixing, upgrading, and improving your space like we are, most of those profits go right back into the business. 💸 High overhead (think rent, payroll, cleaning, maintenance, insurance), managing staff, and navigating the ups and downs of a seasonal business all come with the territory. And don’t even get us started on behavior management 😅 — while parents are supposed to supervise their children, we often have to step in when play gets too rough and without offending the parents. This is a special skill on its own. Running a play café is a labor of love — and we wouldn’t trade it for anything. But it’s far from easy. Would you open a play cafe?
