When a mother hasn’t faced her own pain, she begins to project it onto her child. Your growth exposes what she’s never healed, so instead of celebrating you, she competes. What this means is that we were meant to live tightly and interdependently with people who think differently than us, feel differently than us and behave in ways we don’t like. This interdependence on the “other” – ie the person or people who are “too familiar to ignore but too different to tolerate” (Yuval Noah Harari) - is fundamental to our design. The familiar comforts us - it gives us the safety necessary to survive and the security necessary to thrive – but it is the difference that spurs us to grow, to develop and to evolve. Here’s one good reason we don’t want to be AGAINST war: It means we have lost our power. Instead, be FOR peace, which means: ✅You don’t let yourself be led into a state of rage (because when we’re enraged we have lost our power and influence). ✅You focus on yourself first, on making peace with yourself. ✅You constantly deactivate your fight or flight mode so you can access the frontal lobe part of your brain which gives you perspective, clarity, and better decision making. ✅You seek connection rather than separation by continuing to open your heart to people who disagree with you. When you are FOR peace, you no longer amplify war by giving it your attention (because what we focus on we get more of). Being FOR war means you: ❌Stop giving hateful rhetoric your attention. ❌Stop being overtaken by fear-driven media. ❌Stop supporting and giving your attention to leaders and corporations who don’t share your values. And instead put your focus on what kind of society you want. 💚What’s a more beautiful story or world that you want to live in? 💚What does it look like, feel like? What does peace feel like? I used to think love was about effort. Now I understand it’s about energy. There’s a difference between masculine and feminine energy — and no, this isn’t about gender roles. It’s about polarity. Masculine energy is direction. Structure. Protection. Decision. Feminine energy is flow. Intuition. Creation. Emotion. Both exist in all of us. But when you don’t understand them, you compete. When you don’t balance them, you clash. When you don’t honor them, you drain each other. In my experience, the more I soften into my feminine — not weakness, but receptivity — the more space there is for him to lead without ego. And when he stands grounded in his masculine — not control, but stability — I feel safe enough to relax. That’s balance. And balance isn’t 50/50. In honor of Mercury and the sun moving into Pisces, I offer this symbolic representation of North Node in Pisces. 🌊🌊🌊 “Sacred Surrender” For those new to the lingo, in astrology, the north and south nodes represent the points in which the moon’s pathway intersects the ecliptic; the pathway of the sun from earth’s perspective.
