I was given this tree in the late fall when it was already pretty chilly outside so I’ve kept it indoors because I didn’t want it to die from the frosty weather. A flower that some say smells like rotting flesh just bloomed at the Mitchell Park Domes. The infamous corpse flower, which is known for its putrid smell, bloomed Monday evening, and hundreds flocked to smell the smelly smell that smells smelly. This is a rare occurrence. An individual corpse flower blooms every 8-10 years. Plus, the stench only lasts for about 24-48 hours. All those factors combine to make it a can’t-miss opportunity that doesn’t come around very often. Although, if you are a corpse flower enthusiast, you may have noticed multiple blooms at The Domes in the past few years.
