Who else just wants a cheap flight? Depending on where I’m going and for how long I will fly basic economy, economy, first, or business class. I’m actually more concerned about the airport lounge hours more than what class I’m flying! Please be open! For short flights I do not have an issue flying Spirit Airlines, but if I have a long haul flight I will pay more to fly business/first class. I’m #bougieonabudget and my ticket with #SpiritAirlines still allows me to go to the airport lounge! Here’s ⬇️ more details. Most airport lounges allow you to enter with a same day ticket within 3 hours of departure and the credit card that gives you access (such as, Priority Pass or Amex Plat) you can get access to the airport lounge! Having #airportlounge access will save you money because you do not have to pay for food and drinks at the airport! Please note, you need to either have Priority Pass or the credit card needed to get into the lounge. For example, if you show your #amexplatinum card you can also get access to Centurion Lounge, Escape Lounges, Delta Sky Club (must fly Delta same day), Plaza Premium, and Air Space. Priority Pass will not give you access to any of these lounges. Amex Platinum just introduced Platinum Member Airfares and it’s honestly not bad! ***Comment PLATINUM and I’ll send you a link to the travel portal*** This is a re-envisioning of their former International Airline Program, where only international flights were discounted. And while international is still seeing the biggest discounts, they’ve now opened the program up domestically, and even added some economy discounts (but I literally was seeing $3 discounts there so it’s not even worth mentioning … yet, hopefully) The higher price fare you search, the most substantial the discount will be. But the average is 10% and over 30 airlines are participating. And you can even get the same discount for up to 7 companions on the same reservation. You’re also getting 5x points form AmEx by booking with your Platinum card in the portal. And, you still earn loyalty points with the airline you’re flying on. This is a pretty solid opportunity. While yes, paying for business class airfare in cash is not ideal (especially if you have points), this can add up to some serious savings when points aren’t an option. #travel #creditcard #amex #platinum #business

Why I’m cancelling my Amex Platinum 👇 1️⃣ No more unlimited lounge access (except Centurion Lounges). 2️⃣ You can keep unlimited access if you spend $20K+ annually, but it doesn’t make sense to run all your spending through this card when the Amex Cobalt earns better points. 3️⃣ Beyond that, there just aren’t enough perks to justify the annual fee, especially when you compare it to the US version. Still a huge fan of @amexcanada but this one’s no longer worth it for me 💳✈️
