Must-Know Tips for Procreate pt 4!! Here’s the basics on ways you can create flat color layers. 1. Use recolor to quickly color in lines 2. Or, use the selection tool set to auto and color fill 3. Create a reference layer to use color fill on a separate layer from your line art 4. If you don’t have a line layer, use the brush or selection tool to create an outline to fill in 5. Use the selection tool to color with the brush without it being messy. This is great for adding texture! Hope these tips and tricks help! HOW TO SET UP BELOW ✨ . I spent over a year using procreate manually navigating menus and switched between the paint and eraser manually. It seriously slows your work flow down and takes time away from actually painting! . Veterans probably know about this already, but in case you’re in that stage I was in before, I got you 💪 . In the Actions menu go to Prefs, select Gesture Controls, then Quick Menu. I set mine to Touch. Now I can tap to bring up the menu, or swipe to select that direction! . You can make the menu buttons anything you want, but I REQUIRE paint and erase on the top and bottom, and I highly recommend placing the flip canvas horizontally option on there somewhere too. . took me 2000 years to edit this but since my pookies liked the last tut, here’s another one for you💐Any kind of support will be appreciated💓 ✨Read this if the tutorial felt too fast, or if you’d like more details!✨ Procreate artists… since we don’t have the stroke function on our app😔 Are you tired of tracing the edges of your own artwork just to create a lineart? Or to create an outline for an object? Good news: you don’t have to do that anymore! 😻👍 Here’s how you can easily create your outline: 1. Copy the layer that you want to add a border around 2. Go to adjustments and select Gaussian Blur 3. Apply the blur. I usually set it to 2%, but if you want thicker outlines, increase the blur! 4. Place the blurred layer beneath the original layer 5. Use selection tool. Use auto-select and tap on outside of the object. Slide left and right to adjust the thickness of the line. Be careful not to set the selection threshold too high, or you’ll miss the blurry parts 6. Invert the selection. Choose the color for your outline, then fill the selection using the fill tool TIP: Want a bolder line? Simply duplicate the layer a few times, then merge them💪 And BOOM – your outline is done! YAYYAAYYAY💖 EXTRA TIPS: Want to change the line color? Here’s how: 1. Select the line layer and enable Alpha Lock 2.
