Moving from Manager to Director requires a completely different skill set. What got you here won't get you there. Three underrated skills that separate good managers from real leaders 💼 Emotional control - leading team meetings calmly 30 minutes after your budget got wiped out. People look to you to set the tone. If you lose it, they will too. Mode switching - moving instantly between strategic thinking, execution, presenting, and mentoring without needing "time to get in the zone." Directors live in back-to-backs. Impact over activity - nobody's impressed you're busy. They care about influence, alignment, and results through others. Busy is a badge for beginners. Impact is the metric for leaders 🎯 Comment ELITE for my newsletter and ZOOM for my live webinar on building the mindset and influence that get you promoted to Director. #directorrole #careeradvancement #leadershipdevelopment #managertodirector #careerstrategy #professionaldevelopment #executivecoaching #leadershipskills #careerafter50 #careergrowth #careerpromotion #corporateleadership #leadershipcoach #executivedevelopment #careertips #professionalgrowth #leadershipjourney #careerleveling #directorlevel #executiveleadership

How to Supercharge Your Presentation Practice (It’s not just about the slides) If you want to give a presentation that: - Has a crystal clear message - Isn’t boring like 99% of presentations - Positions you as a confident expert At the very least, practice saying the words out loud. Ideally, in an environment similar to the one you’ll be presenting in. Doing this can make you sound 10x better than just winging it. And if you want to make sure you’re making an impact... Record yourself practicing. Then ask for feedback from someone who isn’t afraid to be brutally honest with you. You can present better than 99% of people by putting in a TINY bit of extra effort. Because 99% of people practice speaking in a presentation... ...by doing things that don’t involve speaking. - P.S. If you want to speak with elite levels of confidence, charisma, and clarity, (but don’t have much time) Check out my free course: Speak Like a Confident Leader in 7 Days Just message me the word “speak” and I’ll send it over to you. #presentationpractice #publicspeakingtips #confidentpresentation #clearcommunication #effectivepresenting #practiceoutloud #feedbackmatters #presentationtips #speaklikealeader #superchargeyourpresentation

Career advancement isn’t random. It follows patterns. After 20 years in senior leadership growing businesses here’s what I’ve learnt. Here are the 5 things high performers who advance fast do differently: 1️⃣ They stop delivering more to prove value. They recognise proving your worth through volume doesn’t lead to advancement. It just creates more expectation. 2️⃣ They interrupt The Accommodator
They stop saying yes to everything. They recognise accommodation makes them too valuable where they are to promote. 3️⃣ They identify The Perfectionist They stop perfecting work that’s already good enough. They recognise perfectionism signals inability to operate at scale. 4️⃣ They stop running The Invisible Contributor They make their name known to decision-makers. They recognise work doesn’t speak for itself - visibility does. 5️⃣ They break The Loyal Stayer They signal ambition through movement. They recognise staying signals contentment, not readiness. Career advancement isn’t about working harder. It’s about recognising which of the 5 patterns is keeping you stuck. 💬 Comment STALL and I’ll send you The Career Stall Decoder 💾 Save this if you’re stuck despite your performance

Struggling to figure out what to do with your career? This framework really helped me. It's based on the 4 F’s: 🎯 Fun – Are you doing stuff you actually enjoy? ⏰ Flexibility – Does it give you the time freedom you want? 💡 Fulfilment – Do you feel like you're making a difference or helping people? 💰 Finances – Can you hit your financial goals? A 10/10 in each category looks different for everyone. So it's worth asking yourself: what does 10/10 flexibility actually look like for me? I used to be a doctor – high on fun and fulfilment, but low on flexibility and finances. Now as an entrepreneur, I've built my business to maximise all four. Could I ramp up finances more? Sure. But I'd have to trade off fun, flexibility, and fulfilment – and I'm not willing to do that. Over time, you find your balance. This framework helped me get there.

Something felt off in that meeting. A comment. A decision. A shift in tone. You walked away thinking: “I should’ve said something.” But the moment passed. This is where most people lose control. Because what gets said verbally… can be changed, denied, or rewritten later. Unless you do this. Follow up. In writing. Not aggressively. Not emotionally. Precisely. That one email: – protects your work – documents what actually happened – puts your version on record first – and shifts the power back to you And once you start using it? You stop replaying conversations. You stop second-guessing yourself. You start operating strategically. This is the exact system hundreds of women are already using to protect their reputation, handle difficult conversations, and stay in control in high-stakes situations without over-explaining or creating conflict. Because this isn’t about being louder. It’s about being precise. That’s exactly what I teach inside Precision Over Panic. After 12 years in HR and recruitment, I’ve seen the patterns behind every successful career pivot. This is exactly what I do with my clients when we work through their next move. Whether they’re preparing for a promotion, changing industries, or redefining what success means, the process always starts with clarity. 1️⃣ Understand your why. Before updating your résumé or applying for new roles, get clear on why you want a change. It might be growth, burnout, misalignment, or a need for balance. The reason behind your pivot determines the right direction. Without that clarity, every option feels wrong because you’re solving the wrong problem. 2️⃣ Get clear on your values and strengths. Your next role should reflect what matters most to you, not just what you can do. Think about what gives you energy and what drains it. When your values and strengths align, you move from working hard to working with purpose. That’s where fulfillment begins. 3️⃣ Define your next-level criteria. Decide what you want more of, like creativity, ownership, flexibility, or recognition. Then decide what you want less of, like politics, burnout, or work that feels transactional. Combine that with your experience, compensation goals, and lifestyle priorities to build a framework for decisions that feel strategic instead of reactive. This is how I help my clients find clarity. We combine their experience, strengths, and values to pinpoint where they’ll be both fulfilled and successful. If you want to start this process, DM me “values” and I’ll share the exact values test I use in my coaching sessions to help you find clarity on your next step. #careeradvice #careerdevelopment #careergrowth #jobsearch #pivot #careerchange
