Then, add the remaining sugar, eggs, melted butter, and a pinch of salt, stirring everything together. Gradually mix in the flour until a soft dough forms. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5–8 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic. Place it in a greased bowl, cover it with a towel, and let it rise for about 1–2 hours or until it doubles in size. Once risen, roll out the dough to about ½ inch thick and use a donut cutter (or two round cutters) to cut out donut shapes.
