Reverb Is important because: 1) It adds a sense of space by placing your "dry" recording in a hall, room, chamber or other real life spaces. 2) It adds depth to your sound. 3) It can add width in the stereo field (if a stereo reverb is applied) 4) Reverb on a vocal can add "character" to the vocal to improve the emotional impact of your song.
