Today, I participated in the discussion on the Union Budget in Parliament and strongly raised concerns regarding the financial mismanagement of the Goa State Government. I appealed to the Central Government to initiate a thorough investigation into the various financial irregularities and alleged scams within the Goa administration. During my address, I highlighted several pressing issues affecting our state: •The continued practice of keeping teachers on temporary contracts instead of granting them stable, permanent employment. •Serious concerns regarding coal transportation and its impact. •The termination of the Bal Rath scheme. •Cuts in expenditure on education. •The shortage of doctors, staff, and essential medical equipment at the South Goa District Hospital. •Unplanned development and approvals for mega projects that are affecting water supply and infrastructure. •The imposition of tax on disability pensions. •The delay in disbursement of funds under the Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS). I further stated that due to poor governance and financial mismanagement, Goa is being pushed towards mounting debt and rising crime.
