Paris has so sooooo many amazing second hand / thrift / curated vintage shops. Can be a little overwhelming. If you’re there on the weekends, would def recommend going to les puces (main one) and vanves. A little bit of digging but also nicely curated. Thank goodness for @gabrielkda and @eliselecomte because last time we got so burnt out from being overwhelmed. Ouvert en 1860 et toujours aussi iconique, certains de mes stands préférés, où prendre la becquée ? The best vintage markets in Paris! Read below ⬇️ Marche Aux Puces in Saint - Ouen The most famous flea market, this weekend treasure trove does not disappoint! Extremely well organized and curated, you can find anything from vintage buttons to couture fashion to antiques. Shops open around 9am-10am and it’s organized by different markets. Make sure to bring plenty of cash, water, and snacks because the Marche Aux Puces is massive - you could easily spend a day exploring. Note that while many of the shops accept credit cards, some of the vendors do not, and there can be long lines for the ATMs. Marche Vances Every Sunday, this sprawling sidewalk market is a true treasure hunt! Vendors line the streets and tables are piled high with vintage decor items, jewelry, accessories you name it. Prices are more affordable than Marche Aux Puces because more digging is required! How to Find Flea Markets in Paris! When I moved to Paris I was actually surprised that the markets are not in one set location. I get asked nearly daily if there are markets during the week, and while I am sure occasionally there are some markets here and there - they really are only on the weekends! Weekends are sacred here in Paris, you’ll find that everyone gets a coffee and strolls the neighborhoods picking up odds and ends from the brocantes. For the Type A’s who like to plan things months in advance, take a deep breath, you’re going to need some flexibility here. They aren’t posted very much in advance, and I typically just look at the website each Thursday or Friday to plan out my weekends unless I am going to go to Vanves or St. Ouen which happen every weekend on the outskirts of the city. To find the locations, all you need to do is visit Sorti a Paris website where each location is listed. So you can pick the brocante closest to you or check out a new neighborhood!
