Yummy Yam Pulusu 😋 Try it👍🏻 I have made it in pressure cooker as it is easier and quicker. But if you do not have a pressure cooker, you can make it in a kadai/ heavy bottom vessel. Two important tips: 1. Allow the shallots or onion to fry well before you add yam. Once you add yam and salt, fry it again for a few minutes before you add the tamarind water. Will turn so yummy. 🍲✨ Elevate your culinary experience with our Sorakaya Pulusu crafted to perfection in our Triply Stainless Steel Stockpot! 🔥 Immerse yourself in the flavors of tradition and the brilliance of modern cookware. 🌟 Method ✨In a stock pot heat Coconut oil - 2 tbsp Add Channa dal - 1/4 tsp, cumin seeds - 1/4 tsp, Mustard seed - 1/4 tsp, Urad dal - 1/4 tsp, Few curry leaves .Saute on low flame till mustard seed splutters. ✨add Small piece crushed ginger , Crushed garlic cloves - 4, cook till garlic cloves slightly changes colour. ✨add Green chilli - 1 ( as per taste) , Medium size sliced onion - 1, saute till onions turn translucent. ✨add Medium size chopped tomato - 1, pinch of salt, cook on low flame till tomato turn mushy. ✨Add Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp, Kashmiri red chilly powder - 1tsp, coriander powder - 1 tap, saute for 1 minutes. ✨add 1.5 cup peeled and chopped bottle gourd, mix well.
