For the past two years, this countertop has been the most popular choice. Known as Taj Mahal quartzite, it complements both dark and light cabinetry beautifully, and its durability is impressive. I truly love this material for countertops. #kitchendesign #interiordesign

Quartz worktop hack: Don’t forget to ask for a chopping board from the offcuts! Our installer kindly did it for free for us out of the offcuts from the sink and it means nothing goes to waste 😁 we glued down some adhesive pads to stop it from sticking! Avoid this costly quartz mistake! The quartz worktops were one of the expensive upgrades I made in this house and while they’re mostly beautiful this one thing is a major annoyance. So if you can- get the quartz but not the draining grooves! #quartz #quartzworktops #quartzworktop #silestone #newbuildhome #newbuildupgrades #kitchendesign #kitchenmistakes #kitcheninspo

Most people think this kitchen costs £12k because it looks like the real Quartzite! . But this is actually Taj Mahal quartz — giving you the same luxury look without the maintenance or high price. We install quartz worktops across London & Essex every week, and most people are surprised at what these actually cost. 💬 What would you expect this kitchen to cost? 📩 Message “TAJ” and we’ll price your kitchen. #quartzworktops #kitchendesignuk #essexhomes #londoninteriors #kitchenrenovation

make sure to grab a sample piece and view it in your kitchen lighting as well! Our kitchen has a lot of indirect natural light, which made our quartzite slab pull out more of the tan/brown tones versus when we saw it inside and it pulled more gray! Lighting is tricky and different lighting will make your stone look different. Key tip: view the sample piece at all times of the day so you can see how it will look night vs afternoon vs day SAVE this video to reference later ✨follow @karlibree for more design inspo and building tips✨ #quartzitecountertops #granitecountertops #marblecountertops #quartzcountertops #whiteoakcabinets #honedstone #buildingtips #slabyard #kitchencountertops

Quartz has transformed our kitchen! ✨ When we decided to extend our home, choosing quartz countertops was a no-brainer. I went for a gorgeous white and grey to match my dove grey cabinets, and I couldn’t be happier! I’ll be honest, I panicked a bit when I saw my first stain from red pepper and those pesky tea rings. 😱 But guess what? A regular cleaner saved the day! 🙌 Even that stubborn Tesco bag paint imprint didn’t stand a chance against bleach (simple kitchen flash). Always check first on a small area. It’s been 8 months since we installed it, and I still think going white was the best choice ever! Yes its white and it looks like a dream 😍 Quartz was from @purple_granite and it’s BQS Avenza 30mm cost 3.9k This has covered kitchen countertops Island 3.7m. Howdens quoted us 8k. The service and quality was amazing. #quartzlover #homesweethome #kitcheninspiration #kitchendecor #reels #mykitchen #instareels #mykitchen #kitchenisland #kitchendiner #reelitfeelit #bifolddoors #openplanliving #openplan #openplankitchen #golden #shakercabinets #kitchenislands

This is one of our most popular worksurfaces. It’s a Quartz worktop and it’s called Callacatta. It’s an off white and it has a beautiful vein running through it. Shown here with a dark green shaker kitchen but it pairs equally well with contemporary handleless kitchens too. Would you choose it for your new kitchen?

My honest take on quartz counters? Some of them just don’t look good. After two decades of managing remodels, sourcing materials, and helping homeowners make big decisions—I’ve seen the best…and the absolute fakest. Here’s what some people don’t realize: ✨Quartz is man-made. It’s 90% natural stone, 10% resin—and when that resin content gets too high? That’s when you get the weird undertones, slabs don’t match or fake-looking veining (that’s trying too hard to be marble.) ✨And the country of origin matters. Some quartz comes from U.S. or European factories with strict quality standards. Others? Not so much. Poor consistency, bad dye lots, and slabs that don’t hold up over time. You’d never know by looking at a single showroom sample. If you’re investing thousands into countertops, you deserve to know what you’re getting. You don’t need to be a designer—you just need someone to show you the right way to renovate. P.S. Selecting the right worktops is a big decision in your kitchen renovation journey. Not surprisingly then, one of the questions we get asked most when designing our projects is ‘which material should we choose’? Daval creative director, James, would usually recommend Quartz worktops over Marble or Granite, and here’s why: — QUARTZ OFFERS MORE STYLE CONSISTENCY: Natural stone often varies a lot from slab to slab. Quartz gives you a more consistent colour and pattern which is ideal if you a clean and cohesive look is important to you (especially in open-plan spaces). — QUARTZ IS BUILT FOR EVERY DAY USE: Quartz is an engineered stone meaning it’s made to be tough. It’s highly resistant to chips and scratches from everyday cooking, so works well in high-traffic areas like kitchens — QUARTZ IS EASIER TO CLEAN: Quartz is non pourous so it doesn’t need sealing unlike natural stones, meaning it’s far more resistant to staining from wine, coffee, oil, and sauces. — QUARTZ CAN BE SEEN AS MORE HYGIENIC: There are no tiny pores (unlike natural stones) which means fewer places for bacteria and moisture to sit. — QUARTZ PROVIDES BETTER VALUE LONG-TERM: There’s less upkeep with Quartz and it stays looking fresh for years. Natural stone is stunning, but if you want the look without the stress, quartz is the win. Save this post and follow us for more luxury kitchen design inspiration and tips 📌
