All of life is in transition. In a way I don’t think that the attacks on trans people right now have anything to do with gender. Transphobia isn’t a fear of trans people, it’s a fear of liberation and embodiment in a culture predicated on and plagued by dissociation. But denying transition won’t change that it exists. Our world is in transition. We get to decide what that looks like. Will our species continue to hold a death grip on our lonely isolation from the rest of nature? Or will we choose to live? Der Vorschlag, den einfach wegzulassen scheiterte. Es sei ein zu großer Aufwand, entsprechende Computersysteme neu zu konfigurieren.    In einigen EU-Ländern gibt es das Recht auf genderlose Namen schon, z.B. in Frankreich oder Polen.    In Deutschland müssen Namen nicht mit einem Geschlecht zusammenhängen. Ich hab lange geglaubt, Professionalität heißt, einen Teil von mir auszublenden. Im Büro nicht zu “laut” zu sein, nicht zu queer wirken. Ob das Outfit „zu viel“ ist. Und jedes Mal zieht sich etwas im Körper zusammen… ganz leicht, aber spürbar. Heute weiß ich, dass es für dieses Phänomen sogar einen wissenschaftlichen Begriff gibt. Es nennt sich “Heteroprofessionalism”, die unausgesprochene Regel, dass „seriös“ und „cis-hetero“ irgendwie zusammengehören. Dass man sich nur dann professionell verhält, wenn man sich anpasst. Ich hab das jahrelang mitgemacht, bis ich gemerkt hab, wie viel Energie mich dieses Maskieren kostet. Wie erschöpft man wird, wenn man acht Stunden am Tag auf Sicherheit und Angepasstheit achtet. Heute ist mein Ziel nicht mehr, überall reinzupassen, sondern Räume zu schaffen, in denen wir nicht mehr überlegen müssen, wer wir bei der Arbeit sind, sondern einfach da sein dürfen. 🌈 #queer #queerness #lgbtq
