Testing affordable cycling kit, so you don’t have to ✨ Cycling kit can be really expensive and with a lot of cycling’s opting for the more expensive brands like MAAP and Rapha it can be really daunting for new or, let’s be real, financially compromised cyclists. I wanted to test some more affordable kits for you so you so you don’t have to. 👉🏼 Today’s test is on the Cerotipola men’s bib shorts in Khaki Green. From Amazon £36.90. Jack and I give these ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Pros: • Good quality material. I feel these would last a long time if looked after properly. They are quite thick material and are really secure around the legs. No slippage. The back comes up quite high which is really nice and the pockets are big enough for phones and snacks with a zip pocket for a key or cash. • Decent padding that would suit medium rides. Jack started to feel discomfort at about 10 or so miles but I didn’t feel discomfort at all so even though these are for men I think they’re really great for women too. • Great price. Affordable and you are getting what you pay for • Range of colours. They come in Dark Plum Red, Navy, Grey, Blue, Black and Khaki so if you want to mix and match a couple pairs with a few jerseys you’re good to go • Diabetic insulin pump friendly. Jack had no problems navigating his pump and it was fairly secure in the back pocket Cons: • probably not great for hot weather rides as they are quite thick. Better for Spring and Autumn • sizes are potentially a bit off as I am a Medium in these and Jack is XXL so definitely measure yourself and go by the size chart on the Amazon page • Could have more colours. Would be nice to see some more natural tones like Mustard, Brown, Beige or some pale colours like pastel Pink and Mint Green. Over all a really decent bit of kit and I have them in Plum and Khaki and am getting them in Black soon too.
