Until today, I am still learning about what acceptance is. It seems like this is a topic one must master to deal with things that one can’t change. I used to live with the narrative - “I’ll only be happy when my skin heals.” I’ve also gone through days where I faked my happiness - “I am owning my skin despite its flaws.” But these days though, I learnt about a more balanced version of me - “I accept my skin, but I am still sad about it.” Balance is where I find the most peace now. 🌼
