HOW TO USE A REED DIFFUSER 😍 1. Choose the Right Spot • Place your diffuser somewhere central or near a light draft (like by a doorway or open window) so the scent circulates. • Avoid direct sunlight, heaters, or air conditioners excess heat makes the oil evaporate too fast. 2. Insert the Reeds • Remove the bottle cap (if there is one) and carefully place the reeds into the fragrance oil. • Let them soak for a few minutes, then flip them so the saturated ends face outward. This kick-starts the diffusion. 3. Flip Reeds Periodically • Turn the reeds over every few days or once a week for a stronger scent. • Be careful where you flip, do it over a sink or paper towel so you don’t drip oil onto furniture. 4. Adjust the Scent Strength • More reeds = stronger scent but faster oil use. • Fewer reeds = softer scent but longer lasting. • If the scent gets too faint, replace old reeds, they clog over time and stop diffusing well. 5. General Care Tips • Use only diffuser oils (not regular essential oils, which may be too thick). • Keep away from children, pets, and surfaces that can be stained by oil. • When the oil runs low, either refill with the same scent or thoroughly wash the bottle before switching fragrances.

Reed Diffusers.⚠️ If you’ve been following me for a while you’ll know how difficult candles are to make, because I regularly talk about it, but what about reed diffusers ? Well, they’re the easiest thing in the world to MAKE. So much easier than candles. Pour a bit of perfume in to the base oil, stir and pour in to your jar. BUT, if only it was that simple… Strict rules and constantly changing IFRA guidelines means that making diffusers is even more complex than making candles, especially if you mix more than one oil. They are now classed as a skin contact product which means the percentages for some oils have to be lowered or not used at all. If you take the percentage down too much the diffuser won’t smell, and some oils that are used in our candles are banned for diffusers which means you have to use a different oil that’s compliant but still try achieve the same scent. 🤯 This is one of the reasons why you won’t see all our candle scents made as a diffuser too and why sometimes we have to discontinue some of our products. Nothing is ever straightforward! I did consider giving up on diffusers at one point because it’s so so hard, but I couldn’t do that to you could I? So the days when I’m quieter on here I’m probably ready IFRA legislation and stressing about oil percentages 🫣 Remember to always stand your diffuser jars on a coaster to protect your surfaces, flip your reeds once every couple of weeks and note that if you place in a draughty area or near radiators your oil may go down more quickly. Are you a diffuser or candle person? I like to use both to give an extra layer of fragrance and currently my scent of choice is Firethorn, filling the house with a beautifully sophisticated autumnal aroma. 🍁 #reeddiffusers #homescents#homeperfume #homeperfumery #grasseinstituteofperfumery

Here’s how I refill my reed diffusers at home on a budget! It can be quite expensive to purchase new ones all the time cause mostly they last for a month or two. I use a 8:2 base oil to essential oil ratio! I love these reed diffusers - here’s a trick to make them last even longer! #hack #reeddiffuser #dossier

Why buy when you can DIY? DIY reed diffuser are so simple to make! I’m not a big fan of air fresheners or artificial scents so I love to make these homemade reed diffusers to add some scent and aromatherapy in my home. These are so easy to make, made with simple & natural ingredients, and they smell amazing. You can easily create your own scents or use one of the suggestions below. What scent combo are you creating? What you’ll need: ⁃ 4 ounce glass container (narrow opening is best) ⁃ 6 to 8 reeds (I’ll link my faves in stories) ⁃ 40-50 drops of essential oils (I use @nowfoodsofficial, use code AMBER to save 20%) ⁃ 1/2 cup sweet almond oil (or fractionated coconut oil) ⁃ Optional: 1 Tablespoon of alcohol (vodka), to help oil mixture move up the reed faster. Add essential oils and sweet almond oil (& alcohol, if using) into glass jar and swirl to mix. Add reeds, let sit for a few minutes and then flip to saturate both ends. Every few days flip the reeds to reinvigorate the scent. Few scent blends that I like: ⁃ Freshen up: 15 drops each of lemon, tangerine and peppermint ⁃ Fall vibes: 20 drops orange, 10 cinnamon & 10 clove ⁃ Sweater weather: 20 drops juniper, 15 drops cedar wood, 10 drops sandalwood, 5 drops wild orange ⁃ Clean air: 10 drops lavender, 10 drops eucalyptus, 10 drops rosemary, 10 drops orange . . . . #cleanhomehappyhome #diyhomedecor #essentialoils101 #craftyhome #nontoxicliving #nontoxichome

1. Place your diffuser in a high traffic area 2. Flip the reed sticks once in a while 3. If needed, replace your old reeds with new ones 4. Keep away from direct sunlight, heat sources and air conditioning vents (as these evaporate fragrance) 5. Don’t expect it to fill a large room with fragrance. These are best for hallways/entryways and closed rooms. If your space is large, you’ll need two! 6. Once your diffuser bottle is empty, don’t throw it away! 😉 #reeddiffuser #homefragrance #malta

10 reed diffusers for £1 each♥️ I’ve been looking at my empty diffusers for months putting off buying the refills as they work out about £9 each and I’ve got a lot of diffusers to fill 😅 when I looked into what the oil is I realised I could buy a litre bottle for £6 from Amazon here is how you make them: 🤍 measure out your sweet almond oil (there is usually a ml amount on the bottom of your current diffuser) 🤍 add in about 30 drops of your essential oils ( some of my favourites are the white company & pure you can match them to the seasons or your favourite beauty products) 🤍 give them a mix with one of your reeds & your good to go! I’ve seen some people use decorative vases & jars to create their own reed diffusers by adding wooden screwers. What is your all time favourite smell that you would turn into a diffuser? 🤍 #homediy #easydiy #homehacks #reeddiffuser #reeddiffusers #homediyproject #essentialoil #essentialoilblends
