1. “Break me.” - God never breaks us to destroy us, He breaks us to multiply us. The things you cling to most tightly often keep you from the life God is trying to give you. When you pray this, you’re asking Him to shatter pride, self-reliance, and idols so that His life can flow through you. Breaking is the doorway to becoming fruitful (John 12:24). 2. “Send me.” - God doesn’t need the most talented, He uses the most available. This prayer is dangerous because it means letting go of your plans and stepping into His. It may send you across the street, across the country, or across the world. But the mission isn’t about location, it’s about obedience. When you pray this, you give God a blank check with your life (Isaiah 6:8). 3. “Refine me.” - Refining isn’t glamorous, it’s fire, pressure, and stripping away impurities. But what fire removes, identity cannot lose. God doesn’t refine you to harm you, He refines you to restore you to your true self—the version of you without compromise, sin, or mixture. Comfort will never shape you into Christ’s image. Refinement will (Malachi 3:3). 4. “Expose what’s not from You.” - When you pray this, you’re asking God to shine a light on the things you’d rather keep hidden. It hurts, but exposure is actually God’s mercy. He reveals what you can’t see, removes what’s holding you back, and heals what shame has tried to bury. What’s uncovered in God’s presence can finally be redeemed (1 Corinthians 4:5). 5. “Your will be done.” - This is the most dangerous prayer because it dethrones you. It’s saying, “God, I trust You more than I trust me.” It turns surrender into strength, weakness into worship, and fear into faith. Jesus prayed this in Gethsemane before going to the cross, and when you pray it, you enter into His same trust and power (Matthew 26:39). I hope this fired up someone today!
