My Quant background began my freshman year of college researching Game Theory. My research involved creating psuedo code in the form of algorithms to find Nash Equalibriums in Quantum Mechanics. Quantized Game Theory is different since QM has different rules for which how simulations can be ran. Here I had to utilize quantum information theory a my foundation to calculate payoffs. Quants use game theory in market making, auctions, and optimal execution, where participants choose strategies to balance profit, risk, and information leakage. Concepts like Nash equilibrium, mixed strategies, and repeated games help model bid–ask spreads, order placement, and inventory management under competition. Game theory also informs models of information asymmetry, where traders infer others’ private information from order flow. By treating markets as strategic games rather than passive systems, quant finance builds more robust pricing, execution, and risk models.

The second the teacher steps out of the computer lab, the room’s energy shifts instantly. Kids who were “researching” two seconds ago start eyeing the monitors like they’re in a heist movie. You can almost hear the intrusive thoughts kicking in—these PCs are just sitting here… unattended. Everyone suddenly becomes extra alert, whispering, looking around, acting suspicious for absolutely no reason. But the funniest part is that nobody actually does anything. It’s just that shared moment of chaos where every kid considers it, panics internally, and then remembers there are cameras, consequences, and a very loud teacher who will definitely come back early. So they sit back down, pretend to type, and act innocent—like the thought of stealing a whole computer didn’t just cross their mind simultaneously. 💻😭

ADHD coming in strong with my hyper focused obsessed self throwing everything I had in me into this career so early on. Idk but I know I’m not the only dog groomer that has spent countless hours watching videos, saving pictures, researching, reading, studying, etc. These days I find myself less hyper focused on dog hair and more on how to help groomers better their life/work relationships as someone who buried themselves in work for years I can understand the benefit and downfalls that creates.
