Rare Rib Eye Steak 30 ounces I love a rare steak! I picked up this well marbled rib eye from Longos grocery store for $ 29.99 per pound. Prime grade certified angus beef! I cook this for 9 minutes total on my cast iron pan with lots of olive oil and butter. Finish it in my oven at 170F and until the internal temperature is a 125F. So this took another 15-20 minutes. Just so delicious and you save so much money not going out to a steak house. The booze is cheaper at home and I don’t have to pay tax or tip. Can you cook a perfect steak? This has been my go to’s when I have a little extra time in the kitchen for a steak. The thicker the cut the better but today I went with a ribeye that was on sale. Pat that baby dry and season with salt and pepper. Into the oven at 275 degrees for 15-20 minutes until desired internal temp. I pulled mine out at 100 degrees For the compound butter (but not needed) Butter Garlic Parsley, thyme and rosemary Lemon zest Salt Throw that steak into a screaming hot pan for about 1 minute per side and add butter if you like!
